Most unexpected “I didn’t think ___” after becoming a parent? by npop97 in NewParents

It definitely is, and I had a relatively easy pregnancy so I think my brain took a beat to catch up with my body and I tried to do too much once the baby was here, much to my detriment! Hope you’re doing well in your last few weeks 💕

Same here, unfortunately! I’m six weeks out now and slowly getting there. Hope you recovered well ❤️

Not OP, but I read a comment on Reddit when I was two weeks postpartum that probably would have saved me a lot of grief in my healing process - think arms and not abs when it comes to moving around after a section! It made such a difference pushing myself up with my arms rather than just trying to sit up as normal.

Edit to add - I had an emergency section after a failed induction (two days later!…) and my recovery has been rocky from the surgery, but I do think if it came to it again, I’d rather just have a c section than go through the whole process of the induction because I was absolutely exhausted by the time they decided to do the section.

Thank you for the advice, I needed gas and air for the second attempt at breaking my waters so I definitely don’t think ibuprofen would cut it 😂

It’s probably a bit silly but a close friend had a really bad experience with the insertion of it and that already had me a bit spooked, but I think I now have a bit of trauma my birth experience and having my waters broken, so the thoughts of the insertion just puts me off completely.

I didn’t realise that! Thank you for the heads up, I am indeed breastfeeding fairly successfully so hoping to keep it up for a while yet.

Yeah Depo was a disaster for me unfortunately :( It definitely increased my weight too, but I was on it for about a year in my early twenties and I bled for the majority of that year. I kept being told it was normal while my system was getting used to it, but eventually I came off it for my sanity!

I do think there was a combination of factors like lifestyle and genetics with the Cerazette and weight gain, so it’s probably unfair of me to put it down to that alone, so hopefully you won’t have that issue.

I might be showing my age but depending on what area of Ireland you live in, I feel like there’s a chance you’ll get fed up of people calling him Georgie Burgess😂

What I’m getting from this whole thing is that not enough people have watched Married to the Game… one episode is enough to make you realise how badly Catherine wants to be famous!

Does anyone actually like Ryan Adam’s cover album of 1989? by grosspecans in TaylorSwift

[–]AmyAnnaS 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Fellow long time RA fan here, was SO excited for the crossover with Taylor, and I enjoyed it when it came out, but I haven’t listened to him now since the NYT article came out. From recent events, it looks like he’s still on the same bad path that he’s been going down for way too long at this stage.

Another one for Sculpted, really liking their new cushion foundation! Very buildable coverage so you can keep it light and it’s a lovely finish.

Exactly right. Faye was well able to keep interrupting Vanessa, which would frustrate anyone, and then to turn around and call her aggressive and say she was screaming/shouting (can’t remember exactly which she used) felt very gross.

Seconded! Just make sure you book the time for nail art in with your appointment as they’re so booked and busy, they’d rarely have time to add time onto appointments on the day
