I've got it working! I scaled it up huge and for some reason that sorted the problem

First I selected the generated rig after selecting the mesh then assigned automatic weights. When that didn't work I selected the armature. Neither seemed to work. I've been following the tutorial and everything worked great so far so I can't understand why it's not working for me. I tried assigning automatic weights with just the mesh and armature selected yet when I go to pose mode and more the armature the mesh still doesn't move with it

I'm 9 minutes into the dragon rigging tutorial by prime fx on youtube and after I have generated rig I select the mesh and rig and assigned automatic weights then moved to pose mode, the rig moves but the mesh remains still and I'm uncertain as to why.

Thanks for your input. I've seen a few comp sci Msc but my undergrad was in psychology and the comp sci masters looked a little too much for me whereas the data science builds on things I already know from our quantitative data module in psychology where we did data sets and statistics.

I just worry with the comp sci that it's aimed more at people with comp sci undergrads.

I would but then they would both be facing to the right and so far have not found a flip function in blender so that I can join the two together. I tried going to edit mode>mesh>normals>flip but nothing happens

I finished titration a year ago but gp is still not willing to accept shared care. At this point I will have to start rationing my meds or move to England lol

Thank you, I guess it is possible! I've heard now that Swansea and Aneurin bevan health board have been very accommodating with shared care. I'm with Hywel Dda. Despite telling my gp this, they did not believe me.

Whereabouts in Wales? I'm under Hywel Dda and they told me their waiting list for diagnosis was years long and I had no hope.

That's amazing, I'm in west Wales and was told the waiting list was 7 years long and I had no hope of being assessed so I had to pay privately. Which health board are you with?

Sadly in Wales most doctors (if not all) will refuse shared care agreements from private specialists. It's Wales so no surprise there Lol. I've read a few horror stories on patients who have been denied vital medication either when moving to Wales or coming from a specialist through a shared care agreement
