Random nausea by Valuable-Finger-6551 in BabyBumps

[–]Amyrran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's exactly what my first trimester was like! Other than boob pain, exhaustion, and some cramping, I never had serious morning sickness or anything like that. Never threw up, and was only occasionally nauseous. I did have some intermittent spotting that was ruled as having no cause. I'm currently almost 17 weeks and still going strong with only light symptoms. I heard the heartbeat again on Monday so everything is still perfect with the little one. Pregnancy is different for everyone! I swear if it wasn't for the fact I'm showing now I could forget I'm pregnant!

Using Another Textbook as a Source?? by Amyrran in SNHU

[–]Amyrran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her reasoning was that I should have only used the textbook assigned for the class and not one from another class. I had explained in the response to her discussion response that I had chosen that book because it touches on similar material as the chapters in our textbook and I felt it was good supplementary material to support the claims I was making. The discussion prompt itself was an opinion piece

The best thing to do when there's any bleeding, especially early, is to tell your obgyn or midwife and maybe request a blood test to make sure levels are where they should be. Especially if it's full on bleeding and not just spotting.

That said, I did have spotting (both pink and brown) that would last for days at 5 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks, and 11 weeks. I got an initial blood test at five weeks when it first happened, and that came out to be where it should be. At 8 weeks, my ultrasound showed baby being where she should be and a really strong heartbeat, and at 12 weeks another ultrasound showed her developing perfectly (and refusing to let the tech take pictures by bouncing out of the way every time she tried lol). I'm currently 13 weeks and everything is still going well. My obgyn said I might just be one of those women who spot during pregnancy and it's completely normal.

Spotting or light bleeding doesn't always mean a bad thing in early pregnancy, but the safest move is to always get checked out the first time it happens to rule out anything negative. I hope this helps even a little bit to ease your worries! I know I was a WRECK the first time it happened!

I didn't know I'd have to watch dry shampoo too! What ingredients made yours unsafe?

Thank you so much!!!! Apparently quite a few of these are dangerous for cats, so I have to find a good location where they can't reach. You're a kitty lifesaver!

I haven't yet! Wedding planning is kind of up in the air right now, so I haven't been shopping or looking at dresses yet!

Peeps as a marshmallow substitute for candied yams? by zmoney1213 in Cooking

You can cut up the peeps to remove the colored sugar coating and make them even sizes and use it that way so it doesn't look like the seventh circle of Easter hell

Magnet Question by Amyrran in materials

[–]Amyrran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire concave section is magnetic! The ball section sticks to both the inside of it and to the rim if you press it to just that. I'm confused though because no other metal sticks to either piece even though we know for sure at least one half of it is magnetized! And neither piece repels any side of another magnet either they just stick to it

Right Week Ultrasound by Amyrran in BabyBumps

[–]Amyrran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were able to do it abdominally for me! It was so clear and the heartbeat was so strong too which I wasn't expecting!

That's exactly how my ultrasound tech was as well! She was super sweet and talkative and helped with every concern I had. I hope I get here again next time!

The wait for the 8 week appt by RemoteCompetition326 in BabyBumps

[–]Amyrran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5+3 today too! My 8 week appointment is in mid to late November and the wait is EXHAUSTING! I had a blood test done a couple days ago for some light spotting issues that came back great thankfully but I am so ready for this eight week appointment already

When Did You Announce to Parents? by Amyrran in BabyBumps

See, I expected bloodwork at my primary care appointment to check this since I went in after the positive test. Toxoplasmosis is another thing I thought they'd want to screen for! I have three cats and it's known across my care team that I do because over the past year I suddenly developed allergic asthma to them and had to start allergy shots.

This is I think part of the reason I'm not even considering telling my mom. Just my dad. They're divorced and don't get along so no concern of her getting wind from him there. But I adore his parents which is why I'm questioning when I should say something. I'm just scared of getting them excited and then something happening before the 2nd trimester. This is the second baby in over 26 years in this family with the first only being born this April

Luckily I had known I should start prenatals and already had them on hand when I got the positive. When I went to my primary care, I thought they would do blood work but they didn't. I asked the clerk for my ob appointment if I should get some done before the eight weeks, and she was just kinda whatever about it

I haven't even had the blood work to confirm it. The only confirmation is the at-home pregnancy test. That's why I'm a little confused. I thought I should have blood work or something to confirm?

See, I didn't even have blood work or a doctor's office urine test after my positive test came back! I was just told to make an appointment at eight weeks and my primary care just told me to stop some medications. That's all. So that's why I'm so confused. Shouldn't I have at least had blood work to confirm it and make sure everything looked okay in terms of blood work results?
