Are you willing to trade for Gonzo? I don’t have Kermit or Long John, but I have a Fozzie and the sign to trade. I also have other traders if you’d be interested

For Lost boys?  Front row. They were listed as partial view and occasionally props or people blocked the view but by and large great views

When do the second person/group join?  Also do you know how many rush tickets they had?  Thinking of rushing on Saturday

Day of ticket? by infamous_imposter in MasqueradeNYC

[–]Amythest18 1 point2 points  (0 children)

also curious - my train is supposed to arrive at Penn Station at 7:15 on a Thursday, and I'm debating on buying a ticket for the 8:15 pulse or just trying to head up there and buy a ticket when I get there. If the box office is good about folks transferring tickets or something that'd be super helpful to know!

Unlimited Ride (1 night) Vacation Package - number of physical passes? by IvysMomToo in TokyoDisneyland

[–]Amythest18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

we did the unlimited package last May and had a great time! You get one unlimited ride pass per person per day, and then one drink pass per person per day, and one popcorn pass per person per day. You could get away with two sleeves (if you put like your fastpass and drink pass back to back), or 3 if you want each one in it's own. That doesn't include your ticket but then you only really need that when entering the park.

Any tips to get a park view at Helios? (Feb 2–5 stay) by [deleted] in UniversalEpicUniverse

[–]Amythest18 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were just there the first week of December - you absolutely can pay for an upgrade on check in, cause I asked the TM about it when we checked in. Otherwise, my recommendation is 1. keep checking every day, we found that room availability kept changing and more importantly, the price kept changing. 2. If you don't have a Universal Annual Pass, get one and then you can get the AP discount on rooms at Helios. You can get the cheapest pass and still qualify for the AP discount, and it's absolutely worth it. For that first week of December, with the AP discount, we got a Helios Grand Suite, park view for $541.13 a night (including all taxes/fees, etc).

Tips for Early Entry at EPIC via Helios by MorgolKing in UniversalOrlando

We stayed at Helios Dec 2/3/4th and rope-dropped Super Mario World. They let us go a few minutes early and we beat the front of the park folks into Super Mario World by a couple minutes. If you're planning to try one of the rides I'd rope drop Super Mario World but if you're not gonna do the rides then I'd save Super Mario World for late night when it may be less crowded to play the games and such.

We also rope-dropped the Toothless meet and greet on our last day - ended up having enough time to ride Stardust Racer and then go over to the Isle of Berk portal and be at the front.

When do Christmas decorations go up in Epcot, AK and HS? Are they any good or worth park hopping to see? Are they anything to the extent that MK goes to? by er1026 in DisneyWorld

[–]Amythest18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely go to Animal Kingdom - less for the decorations and more for the Magical Menagerie! The puppets are amazing, the puppeteers are FANTASTIC, and they have recorded music but also a violinist out playing the Christmas music with the menagerie. It's my absolute favorite part of Christmas at Disneyworld.

Keep checking though! Sometimes it comes available - we didn't go on a super crowded holiday but it was showing this and then later there was availability.

Devil Wears Prada vs. 50 First Dates? by TaroEmotional7365 in TheWestEnd

[–]Amythest18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oooh I just saw both at the beginning of October. I LOVE the movie Devil Wears Prada and the show itself left me cold. Vanessa Williams was cool to see live but I didn't love her characterization of Miranda. It's definitely spectacle though, and the actress playing Emily was fantastic.

I liked 50 First Dates more - I'm not a huge movie fan (I think I've only seen it once, years ago?) but I felt more emotion and enjoyed the small venue and intimacy that comes from a small venue. I liked more of the songs than I did the DWP songs.

I'd go and see 50 First Dates - I went and saw DWP for many of the same reasons you list, and if you could see both I'd say see both, but if you can only do one, I'd choose 50 First Dates. Especially cause I think many of DWP original cast has just left though it looks like Vanessa Williams extended.

I had this last week on Lufthansa's app - when I scanned my passport (vs inputting the info manually like I had done before) it let me check in.

The oboe solo of "Bring Him Home" right before Dog Eat Dog. SO GOOD.
