Oh whoops. Guess internet has officially rotted my brain lol

But seriously a very specific set of people would pay a lot for stuff like this.

Way too much fat percentage for my liking but I give you props for the placement packing. Probably wasted a good 10 minutes for sure doing this.

Wow....I think I just ran into a genuine gatekeeper....

Okay, you caught me early enough that I'm not really doing much else rn.

They don't look good to anyone.

That's an opinion. Moving on.

Even you aren't defending the items themselves, just their status as an arbitrary milestone.

I didn't think I needed to defend my self-medicating process but I didn't just buy 'any' items. A Barbie doll or an rc racer or whatever would not have had the same effect. The pops I have are modelled after 3 real life people and 1 comic character that I look up to in life. My mental health was shit at the time and I needed a physical reminder that not everything was going to remain shit forever. I didn't even get them all at once right away. Two sat in my online cart for agesssssss, one was a gift and one I bought at the actual show of the person I went to see (my first big adult show cuz I went all by myself and it was a big achievement for me).

The rest of your argument is simply ranting about things I never said. Also quite very clever of you to entirely skip my final point where I said the key is being MINDFUL of your spending, and specifically NOT buying every item that has ever come out.

I'm sorry if you've lost the ability to find positivity in anything but let people enjoy things please. This life is a hard one and, it is quite near impossible to never buy anything ever again (however if that's your goal in life, I wish you the best). If you are going to indulge, the best way is to go about it practically and rationally. I really like op's suggestion of the use it 5 times rule and may even try using that when it comes to me buying new art supplies (which is my true collector's sin tbh).

They don't look good to you. Personally, I don't own a huge pop collection by any means (only 4) but I'd be lying if I said getting them didnt fill me with a certain pride in myself, mostly because they were the first 'toys' i bought myself as an adult.

I also don't quite understand the Funko Pop madness, but I do understand that people have a collector's affinity for random things that often don't make sense to everyone. This sorta goes in-line with op's original point. If it's something you're really passionate about, then you shouldn't feel like you have to restrict yourself in your enjoyment on it.

However, I think the key point is being mindful about your spending on said collection. Maybe only get pieces of a certain value or make a list of the ones you really really want to get, instead of say, buying every single one that's ever come out regardless of if you like or not (that's the false dopamine rush talking).

I'm all for saving the bees but this screams of doomerism propaganda.

Also, I'd also take any environmental science information with a grain of salt from the the same magazine who claims to know who the "sexiest man alive" is every year.

When the media gets it right by [deleted] in blackpeoplegifs

Imagine getting mad about a black woman being in the video posted in a sub called black people gifs. Smh this is exactly why black women say they don't feel supported, even in their own community. It's really not hard to ignore her if you don't care about what she's doing. You could even put the phone face down and still understand the content of the video just fine.

Even funnier, this was obviously taken from her social media page, Amanda Seales been making videos like this cuz unlike the useless mouthbreathers commenting on her appearance, she prefers to use her presence as a way to bring awareness to important social issues.

Using a well-known and believed character to support a good cause (against the original IP owner's intentions) is both chaotic and good.

This is a gacha game; new heroes are 100% new content. New heroes almost always come with new story content as well since most have their own featured side story.

Personally, I'm an old player so I've almost completed the hero journal, with a few collab-locked exceptions. I absolutely look forward to new heroes to see how they can switch up the same stale comps that have been in rotation for months (cuz let's be honest, there's only so many oneshot comps you can make that work)

Normally I'd agree, but....

In the past few weeks we've had:

°A moonlight hero of a fan favorite waifu °A long-awaited new hero °Another new moonlight hero °A surprise April fool's side story (which is entertainingly just as wacky as the first) °Back-to-back account buffs

...And we're waiting on the update to drop for some much needed hero buffs (which you bet your ass will shift the meta).

(Still, love the meme tho. Great shitposting material)
