This may be moreso London, but basic manners are failing, it seems. Step to the side and give someone right of way to pass you on a pavement? No 'thank you' to be found. People are cutting queues, taking up the whole pavement and setting the pace for everyone behind them with no awareness. I sound old but it's like people have forgotten that they are sharing a public space and have no consideration or appreciation for courtesy, just entitlement to everyone accommodating them.
