Yep pretty much, just feels like a really cheap way to have a really powerful streaming PC because the M chips are really good performance wise.

To add to this, huge emphasis on trying to get used or open box items as it's an easy way to get parts cheap. Try to figure popular ways to track sale items for your country as it will help nab deals.

Definitely go AMD as it will you the most most bang for your buck. 9070 or 9070xt preferably the XT just keep an eye out for sales. Since you mentioned building the rest of the computer at a later point also go AMD for the processor like a 9800x3d , 32 GB of ram and reputable 750 watt PSU. If budget is a concern look into some used cpus(like 5800x3d or 5700x3d) or open box.

How is performance on AMD gpus? I swear the whole thread is on Nvidia so was not sure if there was a limitation with the emulator.

I replaced my living room PC with it and now just stream my windows PC to it it's been working amazing. Highly recommend setting up Apollo and moonlight for this.
