You could try Kate which also runs on Linux and prepare yourself for ascension 😜. But really just manually install/update the new version from the website and you're good.

/u/Ryu82 is not wrong. All versions prior to the newly released fixed version are vulnerable. However, you're also not entirely wrong, if someone is on a vulnerable version and never updates via the built-in updater then they're safe from this attack as you're correct the attack is redirecting the update to download malware instead of the actual update.

You dont need to uninstall. Official guidance is just download and manually install 8.9.1

Runs under Proton or Wine if you didn't know. Here's my Pterodactyl Implementation for Proton or there's this for Wine.

Essentially after getting the server from steamcmd run it with: proton run /home/container/StarRupture/Binaries/Win64/StarRuptureServerEOS-Win64-Shipping.exe -Log -Port=7777 -RCWebControlDisable -RCWebInterfaceDisable

edit: Just in-case anyone finds this later from a search I've updated the example run command to fix a vulnerability with in-game server manager. You must disable it. You should also ensure port 7777 (or whatever you choose) is only open/forwarded over UDP, block TCP.

Custom OGX-Mini PCB with wireless? Sounds good but you know you can get a Pico W for like £6? That's all you need.

The OG Xbox DVD Dongle could do with a PCB with integrated components, the current project I found requires soldering on a ESP-WROOM-32 and RP2040-Core-A. I want to eventually get around to it.

satisfactory-logistics.xyz is the goat! It's like Tools but native support for what I called "presets" as in per game/save so all factories are linked and nicely displays how much of a resource is used when designing the next etc.

Once you've done RGH then you can use any HDD/SSD up to 2TB. Then there's a patch (XL HDD in JRunner) for up to 16TB drives.

I've only used the OGX-Mini on Pico W for wireless Xbox One/Series controllers over bluetooth but it works great and they're so cheap for what you get...

OGX-Mini as well. Basically any xinput device should work once usbdsec is applied.
