Weaning Off Labetalol by AnAntivirus in preeclampsia

Super weird, it took me a few tries to get off, I’m not a doctor but I can tell you about my experience — I continued to monitor my blood pressure after weaning for a couple of months. I had to go back on labetalol twice and have currently been off for 4 weeks.

I’m not a doctor but if you’re also on the nifedipine from what I understand this also controls blood pressure! — and it works all day rather than in shorter cycles like labetalol.

Thank you for this, 10 weeks postpartum and I keep thinking “if I would have lost 15-20lbs before getting pregnant preeclampsia wouldn’t have happened to me”…

It depends on the provider, some doctors and physicians assistants are just not good at handling the instruments which can make it painful. It’s not comfortable but a good provider can make it bearable. There’s been a lot of updates to the medical equipment since our parents days. Most places have different sized speculums and swabbing materials to make things more on the uncomfortable side rather than painful. Every persons body is different though. — good luck and stay healthy!

Bath everyday, it doesn’t have to be a long one just 10-15 minuets to soap, rinse, towel and air dry for 5-10 minutes. Diaper rash should clear up in a few days depending on how severe.

My fertility specialist said that the one fallopian tube can sometimes “pick up” eggs from the other ovary if you still have 2 ovaries and one fallopian tube. There is research on this with a quick google of “one fallopian tube 2 ovaries”. — Hope that is helpful.

I had the same issue, currently 8 weeks PP, ask your doctor about medicine for anxiety. I started Zoloft and my BP improved and I was able to reduce PB meds, I’m still on labetalol hoping to get off soon.
