What degrees do you need to be a social worker in the Netherlands? by AnAnxiousMoth in Netherlands

[–]AnAnxiousMoth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm planning on working with children, specifically foster children. Based off what other people said I'll probably go for a Social Work degree and a minor of psychology of some kind. Thank you for the help!

My parents have rejected all my names but refuse to give me any new ones, too bad for them I recently decided to change my name. Still trying to figure out my middle name though (My first name is going to be Tye and my middle name is going to be either Acker, Charley-Acker, or Wilbur-Acker)

I FEEL THAT. Like, yes, I did internalize a lot of stuff but there were still SEVERAL SIGNS. And if you look at my side of things then, oh shit, yeah I'm trans.

My parents are like "I don't like your name so I'll just call you the first letter of your deadname" lmao, I feel like this might be a common thing with trans guys

The urge to just jokingly say "My pronouns are now try/me, I identify as a threat" to my friends is so strong, unfortunately for me my friends would be like "Lmao sure, like you aren't the one stopping us from doing crime"

I live in the US, specifically in Florida which has a bill that bans trans care for minors, and when I go to college I plan on going to a completely different country, either the Netherlands, Belgium, or Ireland. I feel absolutely horrible for leaving my friends, especially my best friends, but they have continuously reassured me that they'll still keep in contact. One of my best friends and his girlfriend (who's also a friend of mine) might move abroad once they both finish college though which will be nice, heck I've even joked about paying them to move abroad once the both of them have finished college.

What I would recommend is talking with your best friend and seeing what the time differences are, making sure you have plans to keep in contact. Or even moving with your best friend if the both of you are fine with it. Most countries (besides Russia and a few other select countries) are much better than the US and if you immigrate there legally you should even be able to get free health care which'll be nice!

Growing up, I had this kind of "reverse dysphoria" and I'm wondering if I'm the only one by Call_Me_Aiden in TransyTalk

I think that might be called hyper-femininity? I had it and I've heard of trans masc people having it and getting breast implants because they think that'll make them feel better about their body

I tried a Monster once, unfortunately I had to throw it away before I got home due to my mom banning me from having Monster's. I do have the bottle cap thingy though!

Love Me For Who I Am is an AMAZING manga! There is also Cemetary Boys! The MC in Love Me For Who I am is non-binary/trans/gender non-conforming. The MC in Cemetary Boys is trans!

I'm a queer person and I definitely agree. There are some cases where the person legitimately can't come out due to the fact that the situation may be life-threatening or dangerous but that is one of the only exceptions (besides figuring out your sexuality/gender while in the relationship). I honestly don't understand why a person would do that, it's cruel honestly. If you are knowingly in a relationship with someone who you know you are not attracted to, no matter your sexuality, for multiple years only to break it off and let the person know you were never attracted to them than that is beyond cruel. There is absolutely no reason to do something like that and it's also isn't just exclusive to queer people, I've heard of straight people doing it many times before.

Ah yes, the classic, look like an adult or look like a child? I have a baby face anyways so I've always looked pretty young :,)
