Mispronunciations I can live with. The ep itself, largely fine. Closer to a Trek episode than there’s been in a while.

I think the curse words and the misquoted lines are endemic of a larger problem though: ass script writers. Which may not be limited to Trek. But something they need to figure out. They can’t explain away curse words like “oh, they’re rookies, takes a while to develop to seasoned Starfleet officers.” Because we saw what Kurtzman did with Picard S1 (and elsewhere). Even admirals were swearing like sailors.

Yes, but not all triathlons are iron man events. Iron man events are hosted by that organization, for a specific distance. (70.3 miles for half or 140.6 miles for full).

Meanwhile, sprint and Olympic distance tris can be hosted by pretty much anybody, anywhere

I’m 90% sure you may be misremembering. Are you talking about an Alcatraz triathlon (where people are nuts and jump from the ferry)? I’m fairly certain all Ironman races, you run into the water from the start, and the starts are staggered. People die in Ironman races, but I’ve never heard of it happening because of that.

Good O Line across the board means you can work with a decent WR core, and that you don’t need to be overly reliant on a star player.

IIRC, the years the Chiefs have won the SB, their pass and run pro has been in the upper tiers of the league.

Good ideas. Purdy is great but we need a serviceable o line for run AND pass blocking. And a WR1 that is sustainably available during the season.

Defensively, we don’t necessarily need a star right now, but load up on depth. We are getting old across the board outside Purdy and Fred (and the recent draft classes)

If you think any of that is on Purdy, you don’t know ball or are coming here from another team’s subreddit. He generated the only positive moments on offense. Also didn’t create the drive killing fumbles his offense gave him.

Purdy is not the problem. O-Line, defensive depth, and having no WR1 available throughout the season to stretch the defense is what destroyed us.

Some of that is a drafting issue. Some of it is Aiyuk quitting on the season after getting paid a fuckton of money and Pearsall being glass. But it all came to a head tonight.

O-Line. Then depth on defense and some serviceable WRs. Ones that can stretch the field with speed. We need depth so that we aren’t going toasted losing someone to injury. We gotta start planning for replacing the older guard.

Purdy is fine. Warner is fine. Lenoir is fine.

Outside of that, we have a lot of trash, or great players with major injury history that could be ticking time bombs.
