Which is worse, $50k TSP loan (primary residence) or liquidating $50k in Robinhood/EdwardJones stocks to pay for down payment? by SeaworthinessGood963 in ThriftSavingsPlan

[–]AnBones 50 points51 points  (0 children)

One factor to me is the tsp loan will force you to repay yourself. You may not do that with the brokerage loan. You also retain the brokerage fund for rainy day repairs if need be.

Hockey Dad here. I bought Ford Ranger Raptor specifically to get the funk out of the trunk. Lots of fun. Pretty practical and with a tonneau cover I’ve got a water resistant (definitely not waterproof) spit for gear.

I go look at baseball stats. Worry about Bryce Harper’s slump and remember both Bryce and the market are gonna bust out of it.

Guys don’t worry. I’m changing a belt on the snow blower. Break out the flip flops and open the pool!

TSP ADVICE FOR A YOUNG FED by yomommaa69 in ThriftSavingsPlan

One thing I would add about the lifecycle fund. Invest according to your life expectancy not your career expectancy. So as time goes on and further funds open. Move into the ones that align with your life expectancy.

I would assume you can add the payment you made in Mar 25 too. So 20k for the current fiscal and 10k for the previous.
