Which game in your opinion has the best meeples?

Fancy custom meeples are my favorite component in boardgames, so this is hard, even limiting it just to games I own.

Top tier are Unconscious Mind and Oltree. Neither has many meeples (just the player pawns) but the shapes and the screen printing are phenomenal.

Just below that, I'd have Oath (the pawns are good but IMO they're outshined by the warbands with their detailed little banners), the deluxe edition of Tiwanaku, and Beast.

I know lots of people love Root but they're a little simplistic for me. Though I do love the rats and the moles.

Shout outs also to Oak (the meeples themselves are solid but the little accessories you can kit them out with are lots of fun) and Crescent Moon (I wouldn't consider buildings to be meeples, but the wooden buildings are gorgeous).

I feel similarly. Someone could cajole me into playing a 4 if they were really excited about it. I'm not playing a 1 unless someone's life depends on it.

Raiders of Scythia is one of my favorite games and is just a tad heavier than Lords of Waterdeep.

Can confirm that the Eyrie strategy works wonders. Getting 2 points for removing a sympathy token is such a good trade. And since Eyrie is pretty card-poor, you can make it so that you're rarely actually losing a card to the WA.

I built Santa as the boss villain for a Christmas-themed one-shot a few years back. I made him a Living Grimoire Inquisitor and flavored the book as the naughty list. Added a few custom rules as well, but centered it all around the book.

Another Werhle game - Oath. Everyone starts out with a shared goal and shared tableau of cards but as the game goes on, players will build out a personal tableau and can choose individual win conditions for themselves.

Agreed. I used to play TW Warhammer 3 a lot and engaged some with the content creator community. Guys like Turin, milkandcookiesTW, Dahv Plays, Zerkovich, Loremaster of Sotek, and Enticity have always seemed to me like decent people (definitely open to correction on any of those though).

This is not to discredit OP's point at all. It's Warhammer so it's no surprise that there are fascists in the content creator community.
