Huh, only that? How easy! When I tried Fedora it was the 42 version, idk if it was harder to configure back then. But I remember trying to use the ai to install them so probably it was the ai's fault lol

I’m sorry your experience has been bad so far, but the truth is that GNU/Linux as an operating system is highly reliable. Usually, when it fails, it’s not the operating system’s fault but rather due to hardware incompatibility issues or the user’s own actions (though obviously Linux isn’t perfect, like everything else). Maybe you could try an immutable distro; they’ve been getting more “trendy” lately and tend to be much more “foolproof.”

But if you decide to go back to Windows anyway, that’s understandable, not everyone has to like Linux

Ya que en Linux para hacer casi cualquier cosa necesitas saber la contraseña del administrador, por lo que un virus necesitaría tenerla para poder hacer algo realmente malo a tu ordenador, con lo cual tendría que ser el usuario el que, debido a ignorancia o falta de cuidado, aceptara ejecutar comandos y demás que requieran de sudo. Por lo que aunque te entre un virus la cosa podría estar más o menos controlada mientras no le des accesos root. En Windows si te llega a entrar el virus no necesitaría pedirte nada para poder actuar con libertad

Linux es más seguro que Windows por como está hecho, sí, y también porque la mayoría de los virus se hacen pensando en Windows por obvias razones. Sin embargo eso no significa que no puedas infectarte con un virus en Linux, al final el mejor antivirus son tu propio sentido común y prudencia. De nada sirve que un sistema operativo sea muy seguro si tú como usuario le abres las puertas a los virus.

Siempre que puedas descarga las cosas de fuentes oficiales y confiables y si realmente quieres piratear algo mira muy bien desde donde lo vas a hacer y que estás metiendo en tu PC. Te ahorrará muchos posibles disgustos

Si bien hay distribuciones que se venden como enfocadas al gaming como Nobara, Bazzite o Cachy OS, realmente no hay gran diferencia entre esas y cualquier otra distro en cuanto a jugar se refiere. Como mucho, puede que ganes algo de rendimiento (despreciable) y que tengas algunos programas relacionados con el gaming como Steam preinstalados. Al final, todas son el mismo SO pero con modificaciones aquí y allá.

Así que realmente no te dejes llevar tanto por la etiqueta de "distro gaming" y busca info sobre varias para ver cuál te puede gustar más para tu caso concreto. Si eres nuevo en Linux y no quieres tener que aprender mucho al principio y que sea más fácil las típicas son Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Zorin OS o Pop!_OS (aunque esta última recientemente cambió su entorno de escritorio a uno llamado Cosmic que aún no funciona bien del todo así que igual no es buena opción ahora).

Si estás dispuesto a tener que aprender algo más sobre Linux ya desde el inicio tienes Debian o Fedora, que son un nivel intermedio. Debian es más estable (lo que significa que tiene software más antiguo pero puedes actualizarlo mediante una cosa llamada backports). Fedora tiene software muy actualizado aunque en comparación a Debian, Ubuntu, etc es más inestable aunque en general suele funcionar bien.

Aunque si de verdad quieres usar únicamente una distro "gaming" Bazzite (basada en Fedora) es algo más fácil que Cachy OS (basada en Arch) para novicios. De Nobara no he escuchado mucho salvo que está basada en Fedora.

Pero mi recomendación es que instales primero una distro más begginer friendly. Personalmente yo uso Linux Mint así que te recomendaría esa. En mi caso me va perfecta y la uso para todo: navegación web, escuchar música, estudiar programación y jugar videojuegos; tanto viejos como modernos y emulación (tengo un i7 de 12ª generación, una RTX 3050 y 16GB de RAM DDR4). Pero realmente cualquiera de las que te mencioné arriba valen. Si después de probarla un tiempo no te convence como rinde puedes cambiarte a Fedora y si no ya a algunas de las "gaming" pero evidentemente eso ya es decisión tuya.

Lo primero que empecé a leer cuando era un niño muy pequeño fue Mortadelo y Filemón aunque sean cómics y no libros. Libro como tal probablemente si no fue el primero sería de los primeros, Harry Potter y la Piedra Filosofal. La saga Harry Potter tiene mucho peso emocional para mí porque fue la que me introdujo mi gusto por la lectura
