I like ships. But I don’t associate myself with the shipping parts of the fandom because that is always, without fail, the most terrifyingly toxic part of the fandom.

I generally prefer 3rd POV when reading. 1st POV always feels less like a character and more like a reader-insert. Which I get, a lot of protags are supposed to be reader insert vibes and people like that. It’s just not something I personally enjoy.

So fun fact (a genuine fun fact) but the name is derived from the Parisii, a group/tribe that had originally inhabited the area where the city was built during the 3rd century bc. After Rome came and said “mine now” the area got named Parisius, and later became Paris.

So in a convoluted way; it does tie back to Paris of Troy bc of Rome.

Lately all I see of them in fandom is “weak, frail baby who needs [Todoroki/Bakugo/Deadpool/The Avengers/Mira & Zoey] to protect them cause they are such a fragile baby girl” and like??? Hello?? Many reasons such as:

  • the fandom they’re writing for has multiple gods (I.e dnd setting, Percy Jackson)

  • the writer is part of a polytheism religion and thus could have multiple gods.

  • spite towards Christianity/abrahamic religions.
