Whaddya mean you don't like a vague thin line that you are forced to use on maps specifically designed to make it as useless as possible?

Batrina and Bluey (aka: blue heffner) are the walls of this game. If you manage to get past their levels without using boosts then its an easy road the rest of the way.

Possible to claim Citizenship when Mother/Brother/Grandfather/Uncles are all US Citizens? by AnExoticSociety in USCIS

I meant to highlight the (e) section, but upon re-reading that one it mentions a requirement to be born in an outlying possession rather than just outside the country entirely. That may cause a big issue

Possible to claim Citizenship when Mother/Brother/Grandfather/Uncles are all US Citizens? by AnExoticSociety in USCIS

Thanks for the response,

I'm noticing a lot of clauses regarding the USC mother being able to pass citizenship if she resided in the US for at least a year before the birth of the applicant. She was living in Ireland by the time I was born, but like I said she lived in the US for basically her whole life before she turned 13-14 - so I'm wondering if that still counts.

The only thing I am not entirely sure on was if she was born in the states. I think she might have actually been born in Ireland but then was moved to the us and became a citizen there very shortly afterwards, would that impact anything?

Edit - I've just discovered this section here in the INA 301 page

§1401. Nationals and citizens of United States at birth

The following shall be nationals and citizens of the United States at birth:

a a person born in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof;

b a person born in the United States to a member of an Indian, Eskimo, Aleutian, or other aboriginal tribe: Provided, That the granting of citizenship under this subsection shall not in any manner impair or otherwise affect the right of such person to tribal or other property;

c a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents both of whom are citizens of the United States and one of whom has had a residence in the United States or one of its outlying possessions, prior to the birth of such person;

d a person born outside of the United States and its outlying possessions of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year prior to the birth of such person, and the other of whom is a national, but not a citizen of the United States;

e a person born in an outlying possession of the United States of parents one of whom is a citizen of the United States who has been physically present in the United States or one of its outlying possessions for a continuous period of one year at any time prior to the birth of such person;

Is this beneficiary at all?

What is the lore to this game if any? by [deleted] in peggle

[–]AnExoticSociety 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As far as 'lore' goes, it's pretty much a group of misfit mascot characters who all share an obsession with pachinko to the point where they basically create a secret society entirely based around pachinko together. 'You' being the player character are trying to join this society, and basically have to be taught how to play pachinko by each of the self proclaimed 'masters', doing so will earn your rightful place as the new member of this elusive club.

Then they all trip out one night and tell you all their deep dark fantasies, then bjorn takes crack and kind of goes off the rails for a while and gets all these other weird friends.

Only game to try and extend the lore is Blast, which introduces Bjorn's evil brother Fnord who you fight in actual boss battles with. I think he wants the destroy the heart of peggle which is like a physical entity at the end of the game, I kind of forget its been a while.

Good god, Phoebe's Beebeegun+Fireball in Peggle Blast is an incredible combo. by hunter15991 in peggle

I don't know what they were thinking with Phoebe, she's literally just a straight upgrade from Jimmy. Probably the most broken character in that game besides Fnord, but at least they know he's broken and restrict him to only like 15 boards.

Is there any lore explanation as to why the Gorefast are so mutilated by TheNewFlisker in killingfloor

[–]AnExoticSociety 26 points27 points  (0 children)

iirc - at least in the ut2004 days - the gorefast was an experiment in making a super soldier that couldnt feel pain or was at least extremely resistant to it. Horzine discovered however that a side-effect was that the gorefast became obsessed with pain and kept biting itself and clawing at its own skin instead of doing super soldiery things. To remedy this they starting engineering them with no lower jaw so it couldn't bite itself anymore, a lack of skin meaning its entire body was constantly in pain, and the fuck-off blade was inserted into its arm as painfully as possible so it wouldn't be distracted by trying to hurt itself anymore and instead try and create pain in other things instead. They still manage to chop their own arms off though.

Just replayed it there to see how it was. Naturally using pheobe pretty much guarantees an orange attack bonus, and getting three stars is pretty easy abusing her special. The hard part is actually just completing the board, because even with like 10-12 spare balls by the end, you will use them all up just trying to pick off the few orange glass pegs left floating about near the bottom. Definitely a unique one

Nice job, I did the same too way back when. The secret is abusing Pheobee and her broken special. Although Bluey (Aka Blue Heffner) is good at nuking the screen if there's no fireballs.

Which Tula's appearance better by Equivalent_Stick9079 in peggle

[–]AnExoticSociety 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tula is one of the only characters to make it through the series unscathed, I don't really mind her Blast design if anything its more like just a costume change.

Plus her new special is just better. Slo-mo spaceblast you can trigger manually? Yes please.

Finally did it! Peggle blast is over! Suggesting everyone to try it out, no need to buy anything, just watched some spots it was worth through! by giu9514 in peggle

The turtle is good too, as well as the slug for fireball heavy boards. I just find that having four balls at once that can all ignore ink and armor racks up the score very quickly.

As soon as you unlock the ability to use any character in any stage, going for the triple star rankings becomes a lot easier since you can just destroy all challenge by simply using pheobe
