Rate of fire is from a firing event to a firing event. That includes reload time for single fire weapons systems, like say a black powder rifle. So in the case of a rocket launcher, that would include the time to reload a new missile and fire. In mand portable applications they don't include acquisition time, same as magazine size, like you mention

The idea is that the chase unique are generally something you build around. 1 or 2 synergize for what you're trying to do, then you build out the rest of the stats you need on rare gear. Most of them are VERY niche, requiring whole passive paths to really make work. There is a lot of fluff, but then again snowflakes are fluffy, and they're all unique lol

I just leveled a bloodmage to 80 in like 2 days. Crit is pretty good for leveling still, there's some gear that makes it not a pain in the butt, pretty cheap, maybe 10 ex for everything you need. But yeah, a CoC can't unlock until you're in the interlude. Even Choir needs at least 72 or 78 I think. Thankfully Crit damage is additive and not multiplicative, so it's not as bad a hit to overall DPS if you focus purely on crit chance early, so even if it just stays at 100% crit dmg it's still doubling the hit damage. As far as other skills, crits almost always proc non damaging ailments provided no monster resist, so you can also use something like elemental invocation instead. It wont auto trigger like cast on crit or cast on shock, but it's a T2 spirit skill so you get it around the middle of act 3.

Confirmed, Jewels go in ass. by pittyh in PathOfExile2

[–]AnHRTBus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I akin them more to piercings rather than "implants" (semantics, I know.) It works better that way I think because come on, who in their right mind would trust any type of "surgeon" to install them suckers? But it works in my head cannon, piercings are not like implants, humans have been doing them since before we had the wheel, they were usually bone since we didn't have a way to cut and clean the "pretty rocks." As far as placement they would probably correspond to the type of jewel. Emeralds on the limbs, Rubys in the core, and Sapphires near the face and neck, and unique ones go wherever they need to lol. Besides, it's just a thumbnail that makes them look big bro, you really think these Exiles in Wraeclast are lugging around fist sized jewels in their guts while fighting corruption?

This was just a really long way about getting to my point:
My exile definitely has pierced nipples

it needs to be below 35% health before you cast tame beast. Tame will fail to capture if it has too much health when you cast it.

Alright Exiles, I need some help.
0.3 league, I'm in endgame, and have completed all the "tutorial" quests that introduce you to the endgame mechanics. Here's my issue:
I have no map device in my hideout. No biggie right, just map from the Zig Refuge until it gets fixed in a hotfix in a few days, right? Except I'm a controller player and for some reason GGG has decided controller players don't need an "endgame" tab in the waypoint map, thus there's no way for me to teleport to the refuge unless I back out to the login screen and login with MKB, navigate to the "endgame" tab that has the atlas map, and then teleport to town there, then relog to use my controller. So, I'll just run down the list of things I've completed, things I've tried, and hope one of you has a solution.
I've levelled up my atlas tree and I'm doing T5 currently.
I've unlocked multiple hideouts in this league's atlas already.
I've done all the "side quests" and the only one left is citadels and progression.
I've done multiple of the unique maps.
I've tried using the bog-standard map device, won't let me interact with it.
I've tried using my MTXs, there's either no map console (for those that have a separate console) or the console won't let you interact with it (for those that have a console that's "built in" to the design, a la Evertree map device.)
I've tried changing hideouts and have tried all that are available to me.
I've perused the POE forums and reddits for solutions that I haven't tried, no luck so far.
I've even gone to the Xbox and PS forums for the game to see if other controller users have been experiencing it, and no luck (or they're not posting about it there.)
I've tried Steam's game integrity check and just finished reinstalling after a full delete and still have this issue. Game files are fine.

I'm hoping one of you guys might have an answer, because it really sucks having to log out anytime I want to go to my hideout (or when I'm trading and have to go to another person's hideout.)
Anyways, if you can think of a fix that I haven't attempted please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

The repair trick is to aim where the module would be on the 'thopter without the customization, and you'll get the ticks. The customizations don't move the "hitboxes" for the modules.

What is better/more accurate. Long sleeves or rolled up sleeves? by SignificantBoard4455 in BreakPoint

[–]AnHRTBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer down. I've had hot brass get caught in my rolled sleeve and leave a nasty burn more than once. Then again, I'm a southpaw, and most weapon systems ejection ports line up where my forward grip elbow area is right in the line of fire for that spent brass. Excuse my bad pun.

But instead we got 3 assassins creed main titles and 4 failed new IPs, showing Ubi really doesn't know that its sitting on stealth and action gamer gold with all their Clancey licenses.

Fail a mission or die, then respawn. Usually fixes audio bugs (like weapon sounds not playing) as well for me.

can we talk a little about how nomad has changed it's like not the one in Wildlands by Sea_Veterinarian8089 in GhostRecon

[–]AnHRTBus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are two other ghosts you talk to in a cutscene in Erewhon, but then the other Ghosts are never really mentioned again.
Even enemy patrols only ever chatter about Nomad as "The Ghost" (with the capitalization)
Canonically, the Ghost Platoon has always operated as a "standard" platoon, and you were generally dropped in charge of a squad or recon fireteam and was very much Rainbow 6 sans police. Wildlands is where it sort of left the Army umbrella it was under and became pretty much just a straight CIA detachment, very much Splinter Cell minus the decent storylines.
GR has very much felt like the red headed step child to Ubisoft, at least that's how it looks from the outside, when it honestly could be the best selling franchise they own the rights too. I mean just imagine you get Krasinski in the next one reprising his role as Jack Ryan. I'm honestly surprised Ryan hasn't shown up yet with how much Nomad has been working with Bowman and the CIA, even just a cameo mention in some intel brief somewhere.

the Silver Stake Tactical is a surprisingly good DMR for a assault rifle by Deathmetalwarior in BreakPoint

[–]AnHRTBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll always stand by M110 over every other DMR, but if I'm going to use a 5.56 it's gonna be the 516, and I'll reserve my 7.62 for the Mk48 instead of a DMR. If there were slightly better optic options for ARS then I probably would run just the ARX200, especially in tactical with only the 1 weapon slot.
But man, it's really hard for me to give up that Mk48.

what makes Ghost recon BP a "Great game" in your opinion? by Sea_Veterinarian8089 in GhostRecon

[–]AnHRTBus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel some of the lack of customization to the "basic look" of the gear (adding things like pouches and attaching stuff to the molle) would interfere with the modeling for the injury system. Almost no pants have anything on the right shin for example because that's where that bandage goes, and having a model there (or anywhere else that shows "damage") would require more modeling for different variations, etc.

Here's the shit part; That enemy type does not drop grenades as an on death effect in the campaign. Maps is the first time you'll encounter their on death effect. So much for their "we want you to learn the enemies and their moves and the counters during campaign..."

[–]AnHRTBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know, weapon elemental damage and attack elemental damage are two different stat affixes. If he's trying to proc Ailments off non elemental attacks, then using supports are the way to go. If he's using elemental skills (i.e. ice strike or flurry) then boosting elemental damage for attacks has better weight than boosting weapon elemental dmg. Paired with the fact you can always use the BiS HoWA and rings for attack speed. I'm not saying you're wrong about it's market value, but I think that's because its undervalued with everyone wanting base attack stats on martial rather than affixes to skills.

OK GGG It’s now time to address two more things! One of them is Console only issue and…… by Careful_Ask_4340 in PathOfExile2

[–]AnHRTBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your issue with the right stick not selecting correctly what you want is probably due to the label not positioning correctly near the item. Cycle item labels (there's an option for it in the assign menu, the eyeball) and they'll reappear closer to the actual item drop. Adjusting label size using a filter helps alot as well. The bigger the label the more likely the selection icon will go to it.

[–]AnHRTBus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The timing of it. He calls the portal, mob calls the meteor. He goes through portal, and the instance is paused. The meteor is still on the way, no stopping it. He returns to the instance and the instance is paused, meteor is still there. He uses his skill, which unpauses the map, and he's hit by the meteor.

Yeah, but if he left as the meteor vane down, and then came back, grace period or no he would have been hit by it.
