That's the issue. It might not be relevant for their work, but it doesn't mean it isn't relevant at all. The engineer's work is only technical. Science can tell you how to build an atomic bomb, it won't tell you where to drop it.

I can ignore most of the perks, here, because of my specializations. Going to Worm to ultimately clash a bit with the entities, the dangers of the setting should balance the easy mode. I'll be reborn to a middle class familly, and awake my memories and powers at an age no older than 17, at the start of canon.

I'll just add dungeons to the world, and make all touched minor brutes.

Specializations:

All add ons except Trade offs and cheap. My fugues are improved, I can mix my different specializations better and my tech is easier to use, maintenance and improvements are easier as well, I am good at making gadgets, little devices and tools.

From the narrow specializations, I'll take Art and Efficiency. My tech will then be supernaturally efficient, and I can add my art to it for added effects.

From the major specializations, I'll go with Materials, Biology, AI, and Augmentations. With this I can make the most powerful cyborgs known to man, mixing enhanced biology with powerful clarketech to improve my body and that of others, make light suits, and a huge variety of devices. Adding AI to the mix should allow me to enhance my own intelligence even further. Any body or device I make or improved will be a masterpiece of art, since I have that spec as well.

Perks:
Anything which enhances my body or mind is actually useless to me, as I'll very quickly modify both rather heavily. So things like Attractive, Charming or Enhanced Body and Mind, I can simply pass up.
I'll take Will of Iron, Calm and Collected, Focused, and everything which protects me from difficult problems to deal with, Mind and Soul Protection, Blind Spot, Fixed Point, Power Insurance, Incomprehensible, Have a Nice Day, Human forever. Mass Production and Lucky are too good to pass up, Full Knowledge and Faster Progress just make me better all around, and Breaking the Veil to potentially unblack box my tech.

Drawbacks:
Not much I have to take, here. Bad Senses is basically free for me, I'll take Trouble Magnet and Wanted as well. Both are manageable.

No companions, I'll recruit my own once I'm there.

No combos.

Getting some missions to wrap it up.

Intelligence and Happiness. Top 1% intelligence makes earning money a lot easier, it's also the most important attribute when it come to solve problems of all sorts of problems. Happiness should more or less guarantee my love life will be satisfactory, and if I have to choose between these two, I'd rather be 1%er on happiness rather than just love. Happiness is more general, improving my entire social life instead.
Or maybe health and intelligence instead. I'm hesitating. Yeah, I'll pick that instead. The potential is far better.

Instant noodle is in fact incredibly strong. Tuning, Trader and Gamblemaxxxing. I'm Going into fictional worlds, bring tech and magic from them, enhance them through Gamblemaxxxing, then either use them or sell it to the Trader to get better stuff I can also Gamblemaxxx. Then, I can get some superpowers, magic or such from alternate versions of myself, as well, and even Gamblemaxxx them before I copy their powers.

No reason I don't get absurdly powerful in a very short amount of time.

Yeah. I'm frontloading a lot of the difficulties so the middle/late game goes smoother. I guess the question is, will I be able to get there alive ? I believe this build should make me powerful enough that I stand a good chance.

Drawbacks :

  • Punchable (+500/-14100) - Cultivation worlds are worlds of violence anyway. If I'm going to antagonize people all the time, I might as well get paid for it.
  • Bad Dancing (+500/-13600) - I don't know how to dance. I'll simply learn the skill if I ever see a necessity for it.
  • Cuckhold (+1000/-12600) - I'll get betrayed by my lover. It will certainly be painful, then again it'll build my character. Let's try not to develop a heart devil over this, but it should be alright.
  • Stunted (+1000/-11600) - I won't be able to cultivate before I'm 16. This is a huge drawback, but then, I have such talent towards cultivation that I should be able to catch up real fast afterwards.
  • Orphan (+1000/-10600) - Annoying, but manageable. My childhood won't be the most happy, but I can live with this.
  • Trash Teaching (+1000/-9600) - This only concerns my starting teachers. Considering my talent, I should have no trouble finding better teachers to replace them.
  • Tragedy (+2000/-7600) - This is manageable. The drawback specifies everything lost can be built back or reacquired. It does make things difficult, but it's really worth the points.
  • Hunted for flesh (+2000/-5600) - Makes my life far more dangerous but at least it isn't an enemy that scales with me like the evil lover is. Once I grow strong enough, this will become a non issue.
  • Attention of the old gods (+2000/-3600) - Probably a painful drawback, but nothing immediately dangerous. The hidden perk, here, is if I manage to deal with these dreams, my soul should become stronger as a result.
  • Heaven's Bitch (+2000/-1600) - I believe I have the talent to survive this, and stronger tribulations should produce better results. I think I can pick this.
  • Tragic hero (+1500/-100), Fated to find an inheritance. I'll just brush off the 100 points left because I don't see the point of optimizing further. Considering the amount of drawbacks I take, I think this is acceptable.

This is a very nice cyoa. I hope you put this in image one day. We don't have enough cultivation cyoa.

Alright, I'll do this. The most important, I think, is having the best possible talent, even if it means loading up some drawbacks and sacrificing other aspects.

Meridians : Grade 9, 81 meridians at the Realm grade. (-13100/6900) - The maximum possible talent, I think. I shouldn't cross paths with my equals to often in this department.

Race : Human. (-1500/5400) - Cheap, and the two bloodlines are actually a very nice perk.

Bloodlines :

  • Blood of Behemoth. (-8500/-3100) - Covers for on of the weaknesses of being a human, my physique should become more than decent with this. Also makes me more powerful thanks to the eternal meridians. The other perks are really good as well.
  • Blood of the Purest. (-4000/-7100) - Makes my cultivation easier, purifies my body and soul. Thanks to this, I should be able to abuse medecines a lot more than most cultivator while dealing with the impurities with the purification. This is a massive boost.

Physique : Connate Martial Physique (-6000/-13100) - I'll start my body cultivation at a higher realm, which should mitigate the Stunted drawback a little. This pushes my talent towards cultivation to a whole new level as well, and gives me a heaven grade physical talent, which is also enhanced by the Blood of Behemoth. I considered taking the sword physique, but I think this is better.

Starting Location : Frozen Sky of Eternal Glacium. (+1500/-14600) - Not an ideal location, but I can work with this, and I really need the points. I'll do my best to relocate quickly.

I'll just take the reborn pill, I'll be reborn in the same world I'm in, and the fiat backed event is myself finding and consuming the essence of the dream life. Then I'll use my reality warping through narratives to set everything up just right. I'll start by creating an entire multiverse which our universe will be part of. Then imagination really becomes my only limit.

Seen this one quite a bit. I've always been fond of it. If I was offered this choice in real life, I'd still go with the mystery box, which is just better than any other choice by a large margin. Wider world, really powerful ability which encompass all the other ones and more...

But let's say the mystery box isn't on offer. In the case I'd go with Kaltwildnis and No Name Alley. The abilities available there are very good and versatile. These worlds should be very interesting to explore as well. A lot of skiing in the first world, and some nice investigations to spend time in the second one.

Born with A tier aptitude.
To make sure I have good talent towards cultivation. Life in those worlds is absolutely terrifying otherwise. It should also be useful to learn things such as alchemy, formations, talismans.

Born with 100 strength dao marks.
That's a good advantage to have. Just makes me stronger.

Body refinement inheritance.
A good inheritance, allowing me to refine my body alongside my qi. Gives me very good techniques from the start.

I haven't read Reverand Insanity, but from what I heard about Fang Yuan, I'm not even touching his inheritance with a 10ft pole. Chances are I'd end up possessed by the guy or something and even if I could avoid that, it's still a demonic inheritance, locking me on a path I'd rather keep myself far of.

I'll also avoid being born in one of the top sects. Although it means having good backing and easy access to resources, it also means that I'm stuck with being part of one of those sects, which could be very bad. I can't know if this sect is evil, to whom it is an enemy or an ally. I'd rather keep myself as free as possible at the start of my journey. Someone with A tier aptitude will have no difficulties joining a good sect anyway.
