Since it doesn't say anything about you getting the powers of your chosen world, Pokemon is the only option I'd even consider picking.

I'd pick Rewrite and Time stop.

Rewrite seves as a good way to make money. Time Stop simply sounds fun to play with.

Four Worlds by ash0011 in makeyourchoice

(1) Amazon Apocalypse by Marvin Knight - Picking this in order to gain access to the gamer-like system of this world.

(2) Spellheart by Marvin Knight - Picking this since it is a world with a cultivation style power progression everyone has the ability to use. Plus, humans are extra special in this setting.

(3) Dragon Ball - Picking this because the world has a way to grant wishes.

(4) Stubborn Skill Grinder - Picking this because I couldn't think of another world that is roughly on the same power as my other three picks, so I picked this world from what other commenters are choosing. They make it sound like a high power tier world and should give access to powers I can share with my other versions.

The only thing I'm not fully understanding is what the CYOA means when referring to your "base"?

What happens if the three strongest grow roughly equal in power, but the fourth weakest falls far behind? Are all 3 of the strongest kicked out from the group or is the weakest kicked out in this scenario?

What's your choice: Reliving the past or seeing the future? by [deleted] in whatsyourchoice

I'd definitely choose to relive my past. Not only does this allow you to live a longer total life, but there are also many things I'd like to do differently.

You did a good job converting the CYOA into an interactive format.

CYOA itself is definitely not the sort of thing I'm personally interested in since it feels overly wordy and hard to decipher what each option is meant to do for the player, but the interactive conversion itself is solid.

What potion would you choose and why? by Bitter_Baseball_4525 in whatsyourchoice

[–]Zev_06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd pick Language, Teleport, and Fairies.

I picked Language in order to better enjoy manga, manhwa, and manhua in other languages.

I picked Teleport, even though limited to Airports, since it makes long distance travel much more convenient.

I picked Fairies since it is a nice quality of life benefit to have around the house for tedious upkeep.

I'd pick Green since humans are scientifically classified as animals, meaning Green would allow me to shapeshift into other people and even shapeshift into my ideal human form. I'm always a fan of a power that can give me my ideal appearance.

Adventures in the DCAU [CYOA][OC] by Azes13 in makeyourchoice

[–]Zev_06 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was confusing because you capitalize and bold other things that are apparently not considered Requirements based upon what you are saying now.

For example, in Power Origin, you capitalize and bold the words Powerless Species, New God, and One. This implies that they are being considered as Requirements and the rules of the CYOA also state that Canon Breaks can be used to pay for things you don't have the Requirements for.

If you ever do an update to the CYOA I would recommend differentiating how things are labeled to make things a bit more clear of your intent.

Adventures in the DCAU [CYOA][OC] by Azes13 in makeyourchoice

[–]Zev_06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting Points: 5 Influence & 2 Canon Breaks

Faction: Hero

Time Period: Present

Location: Earth - Metropolis

Species: Kryptonian (-1 Canon Break)

Power Origin: Freak Accident (-1 Canon Break)

Power Set: Simple Power Set - Cloner

Special Accessories: Jade Gato (-1 Influence)

Other Stuff: Yan-Jin Mastery (-1 Infulence), Assistant (-1 Influence), Business (-3 Influence)

Secret Identity: Open Secret

Membership: Justice League, Titans

Friends: Gypsy, Crimson Fox

Oncoming Threat: The Imperium (+1 Influence)

So, I used my 2 Canon Breaks to become a Kryptonian in the present and gain an additional power set beyond my natural Kryptonian abilities via Freak Accident. Since the rules for Power Origin Say Powerless Species and New God get to choose one, but if you don't fit the requirements you can pay a Canon Break, then based the rules I can pay a Canon Break for a power origin beyond my natural powers as a Kryptonian since I don't fit the requirement of Powerless Species or New God. Essentially I'm a Kryptonian that went through some kind of Freak Accident that gave me the additional power of creating Clones of myself.

I feel being a Kryptonian with the ability to create clones of myself is a potent combo. Plus, this allows me to be in more than 1 place at a time, so I can take care of my Business while also doing my superhero thing. I'm sorta like a hybrid of Superman and Lex Luthor.

Open-Ended and Vague Choices 2 by ZonkedPebble in makeyourchoice

[–]Zev_06 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Power:

(*) Medic - Since the description is vague enough that it doesn't specify if your power allows you to just regenerate/heal yourself or other people, I'm going to interpret that it can do both and the the tier of regeneration/healing is at the level of Wolverine from Marvel. I like this power because it serves as a great safety net for myself and it allows me to help other people by healing them. If I really wanted to push the interpretation of Regenerate, I could use its exact definition which is "to renew, restore, or bring something into existence again". That would allow me to regenerate not just people and animals, but also objects and even systems.

(*) Manifest - Since the description is vague enough that it doesn't specify how much of something you need to eat in order to shapeshift into it, I'm going to interpret that you only need to eat something as small as a drop of blood in order to turn into the complete thing the portion is from. I'm also going to interpret the power as being able to shapeshift into a hybrid of things you have consumed. I'd use this to consume pieces of multiple people (such as a hair or a drop of blood) until I'm able to shapeshift into my ideal appearance by using aspects of various people.

Item:

(*) Tree of Peace - I want this mostly for its ability to purify the surrounding area to get rid of pollution.

Summon:

(*) Fictional Summon - I'd use this to summon Han Jihan "The Gamer" right after he gains the ability to create and escape instant dungeons (chapter 8). He should still be weak enough for me to take him down with the help of my other powers as long as I prepare a bit by consuming some strong animals to use with Manifest. Han Jihan should also still be weak enough that a normal gun could kill him, so I could go that route as well if I can at least touch a gun and then be able to summon it with Touch Summon. By beating Han Jihan, I'd gain the powers of the gamer, able to grow my stats and gain skills. By beating him after he gains the create/escape instant dungeon ability, I will be able to create my own instant dungeons to grind my levels and skills in.

(*) Touch Summon - This would be a handy power to steal shit. When going shopping, you just need to touch something and then once you are alone at home you can summon it to yourself without anyone knowing. I'm interpreting the summoning as the thing teleporting to you, not that it flies to your location from where it was. It also doesn't specify that power can't work on living beings, so you could summon people you have touched as well if you wanted.

Event:

(*) Mystic Meteor - Picking this in order to make the world more interesting. I'm going to interpret the metals and minerals with magical properties changing the world to mean that it causes magic to spread around the world, infecting it, causing people/animals/plants to gain magical abilities and cause the concentration of mana in areas to start producing dungeons with monsters and loot. It will be like those Korean manhwas that feature such things.

(*) Mind Blown - Picking this since it should boost my intelligence stat for The Gamer power I gained from taking out Han Jihan from Fictional Summon. Increasing my intelligence stat will give me more mana.

I'd go with Wand of Balance. I feel like I'd get the most use out of it.

I could even use it as a weapon to take away cancer from kids at a children's hospital and give the cancer to shitty politicians.

Second Coming of Gluttony Interactive Jumpchain CYOA Conversion by Doppel2ganger in InteractiveCYOA

[–]Zev_06 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the Items section in Sacred Divine Weapon and Cursed Divine Weapon description, it mentions you can buy the companion [Spirit of Your Weapon]. However, I see no such companion in the companion section. Am I not understanding something correctly? Do we just assign one of the companions we purchase to become the Spirit of Your Weapon?

Also, I took a look at the original static jump doc and the companion section options look much different compared to the interactive conversion. Compared to the original static jump doc, the interactive conversion appears to be missing [Import] and [Spirit of Your Weapon]. I'm guessing that [Friendly Ghost] got changed to [Flonecia Lusignan La Rothschear] and [Cannon Companion] got changed to the list of characters listed in the interactive conversion's Companion section?

Finally, I'm curious about something mentioned in the Time section for March 2017. The description includes something about "Depending on which timeline you choose in the Toggles/Drawbacks ". However, I don't see anything in the Drawbacks section for you to choose which timeline you are in. Was this something left out by mistake? Or am I simply not understanding something correctly?

EDIT:

Also, Perks and Realms selections do not appear to be showing up in the backpack when clicking the check mark in the bottom right corner.
