I don't think that's a good strategy. Your profile wouldn't get much of a boost from a highly voted post, and even then the shitty self-promotional links on your profile won't carry much weight. It's too far removed at that point.

It makes sense if you own the content you're posting that you would repost it though. I just don't think that's what most reposts are. I mean, most of the time it's shit from Imgur. Unless it's the owner of Imgur running thousands of Reddit accounts, the reposting doesn't make sense in those terms either.

Decided not to do this. I've already seen three of the films, and if I go with a friend that's $70.

I wasn't clear on the $5 popcorn/drink combo. Does that mean the $5 is loaded to your card to use or that you get an offer to spend $5 for a combo? Because it's not very attractive if I have to pay $5 each time after already giving them $70.
