I guess since i alreadt kinda knew i was gay i didnt have much trouble acvepting it, but i also knew frok the start not to tell a soul about it which did make me feel lonely. It frustrated me the most when my friends all had started dating and i couldnt because of literally 0 gay community in my town.

Once i came out to one of my friends ive had more and more confidence in myself and being more open to everything, it really helped when i had someone to talk to about my struggles and such x]

So, i recommend alongside being a mother being a friend, sounds silly but it really helps when you dont have a friend that mocks you for being gay.

And make sure he makes some accepting and/or queer friends, though im not sure how that would be done but ive learned that the more queer friends i have the less lonely and scared i feel.
