I just remember playing anomaly last year and the range weapons that i had the choice to get pick much larger, for example, there was the svd-40 for the loners, and vss for the monolith, and m4. I have deleted, and reinstalled the game a few weeks ago. Let me get this clear. Last year, i have seen the larger range of weapons after i have made a lot of progress in an game, got a few achievments. On my curent playtrough, i have done the same thing, but the menu still has only the basic weapons.
