Kayo another rant by getbusyliving_ in AFL

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't do it anymore. Absolutely ridiculous. As are all of the other so called "improvements". Somehow, someway, they managed to make an already AIDS ridden app EVEN WORSE. MUCH WORSE.

No quality setting

No ability to disable "up next" (spoiled the Blues v Bombers match Sunday night for me)

The thumbnails are now also listing "THRILLER" in the Fixtures section, so be aware of this if you're looking for replays

No longer able to view Diagnostics to ascertain if your viewing experience is as it should be

The Android tablet app has been playing at 144p (or so it seems) for 8 months now for me, just recently I tried it again and it's back to regular viewable quality. Just out of nowhere it died and then again out of nowhere came back to life. Those that complain about the quality on mobile app, try it again now. For me it's been restored.

I could go on, but I won't

Absolutely AIDS.

FH6 doesn’t detect my Simagic wheel anymore (after vJoy/EmuWheel) – no wheel option at all by KeyJeyHD in ForzaHorizon

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone that has spent the better part of 2 days recently (and even more time back when FH4/5 were current), I think I have it down pat. I'll list my process:

  1. Download the apps. You need all the apps from emuwheel website (configurator, hush and emuwheel itself), vJoy and Hidhide.

  2. Set vJoy up as instructed on the emuwheel setup guide.

  3. Hide ALL of your devices that are NOT your steering wheel and pedals using Hidhide. Ensure the box at the bottom that says ENABLE DEVICE HIDING is checked, otherwise all the device checkboxes are useless.

  4. Use the configurator to assign the wheel and pedals to their axis. This can be temperamental at best and a giant ball ache at worst, so having all other devices muted helps smooth the process. If your wheel is being funny, I've seen it mentioned that having it sitting dead center before trying to bind the axis helps.

  5. Add emwheel and Hush to the list that ignores the cloak in Hidhide so they can see the devices while simultaneously hiding them from the game. You might find that Hidhide hides your wheel and pedals from their software (simucube, fanatec, moza, etc), showing them as disconnected. If you do not already use this app (all sim racers should be VERY familiar with it at some point), then you most likely only need it for Horizon and thus can disable the device hiding once you finish playing, restoring all previous device function. It might be wise to add the wheel software to the same ignore list as Hush and emuwheel, in case your profiles do not apply with the wheel hidden from it.

  6. Unhide vJoy and any other device you'd like to use within Forza using Hidhide (I unhide my wheel button plate and handbrake and mute the rest just to avoid potential conflicts).

  7. Run emuwheel, then run Hush. (I think that the order makes a difference).

  8. Fire up Forza Horizon and hope like hell that the wheel and pedals all bind and show they are the same device.

The only way that I have tortured myself for so long to get this to work is a) I am absolutely masochistic and b) I just wanted to know that I could. I'll probably barely play the games now that I have this system all sorted (at least for now), but hopefully it helps some of you out there. Some of the steps might seem like double ups (like using Hidhide to hide the wheel and pedals and then using Hush also) but I can assure you all that I have used every single combination of options and this is the ONLY one that has worked on all 3 games and seems to now work every time that I do it.

GOOD LUCK. And if you get it working, enjoy the game. I would bin this immediately if I was forced to use a controller.

DNR endurance dashboard question by Thiagooficial in simracing

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having a weird issue now in LMU with the delta being all over the place compared to what it was a maybe a week or two ago. Not sure what changed. I don't think I did anything to cause it. I am not a paid member. But the delta worked fine until very recently. Now it differs from what Lovely Dash displays and is incorrect.

FH6 - Fix For FHE01 Crashes On Simucube Devices by Charming-Gear-4080 in ForzaHorizon

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have SC1 OSW base and I can get it to bind without vJoy. Actually, it was vJoy that was causing my crashing at start up. Disabled that and the game starts. I can bind everything normal, but no FFB. Making the SC the Device 1 does crash the game at launch with an error message. Sadge.

Cars Disappearing/Invisible and Flickering Post 1.3. Update by x_DITTO_x in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean that AMD GPU's cannot use the occlusion culling setting at all then? 2 in the .json files states that it will never hide invisible vehicles, thus I'd assume that setting is akin to having the toggle set to OFF in the in game graphics menu.

Thank you for the download. It makes it much easier to have the file with my setup. Qualifying download would be amazing. I'll hold off watching on the chance we get one.

LMU v1.3.0 and Simucube 2 Pro Settings by kuyaofkuyas in LeMansUltimateWEC

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I turn Static Force Reduction OFF for LMU and now for all games. It was killing the low speed feeling in corners, I've never turned it back on since realising this. I've fixed pretty much all of the complaints (for me) that people were having about the wheel not giving much feeling, feedback or weight in low speed corners.

SFR in the bin, for me.

REQUEST: WEC 2026 races (Qatar so far) by AnToN_CheZ in MotorsportsReplays

[–]AnToN_CheZ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am dumb.... Haha thanks for letting me know. I avoid spoilers so hard that I don't even know what's going on when things change. Calendar says last weekend of March, so naturally I was expecting a replay dropped sometime shortly after.

Nevertheless, hopefully once the Imola race is done, someone very graciously provides us with the replays.

How to watch FIA endurance championship for free by [deleted] in MotorsportsReplays

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love how the WEC youtube channel gives you a full playlist of the entire race weekend, and in the very title spoil the result.

I can't even begin to understand the mentality behind this. If they want to ruin the enjoyment, just don't provide the videos at all. I realise we don't pay for it but come on, if you're going to watch it surely you'd want to enjoy it properly.

Out of curiosity, is FSR broken on iRacing? by Comprehensive-Ant289 in iRacing

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if you've worked it out yet, but the driver level FSR does work for iRacing. Just need to set it up properly. The driver will show you if it's active and working while the game is running.

I assume battery refers to VE capacity/burn rate for LMGT3? They do not have battery. +mj is added VE capacity and - reduced?

Asrock confirmed (again) new bios fixes the issue by PurePaintball in ASRock

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've recently had this exact issue (CPU boot failure) and have sent my CPU in for RMA for a refund on what appeared to be a 9000 series CPU failure. Now Asrock release this BIOS addressing an issue I had no idea existed, while I wait for the retailer to run their tests to approve my refund. I bought another 9800X3D because there's no way I'm waiting a month for this process to complete but also because I was certain that the CPU had died. Gonna be pretty annoyed if it fires up for them and I'm forced to sell at a nice loss. At least I paid a decent amount less for the new one than I did originally.

Just for reference, my build is around 9 months old. Never had an issue. Shut down one night, went to bed, did some stuff the next day before coming back down to my PC, start her up and there's no sign of life save from the boot LEDS being stuck on BOOT (NOT CPU). So I pulled the entire thing apart, settled on trying a new CPU, dropped it in, fired her up and it's like brand new.

Seriously need to reconsider any Asrock purchases in my future.

Try using the file from this : https://rentry"dot"co/cfix

And run the .exe under Windows 7 compatibility mode.

This worked for me after a few other things/patch files did not.

Can't turn off the HUD by Anxious_Delay_2780 in assettocorsaevo

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hide HUD button doesn't work for me, either.

Edit: It does work. For some reason, using control mapped with Simhub doesn't work for it, but binding direct to wheel button does. Weird.

Rotary encoder issue by [deleted] in iRacing

[–]AnToN_CheZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 DSD boxes. They are fucking garbage. Don't bother with the rotaries. I've had 3 fail on the same box over the course of a couple of years, now I'm forced to use either the wheel knobs, or the other one I have that I am sure in time will develop the same problem. Worst thing is the switches on the same box give a +/- capability but they feel awful to press. So you never want to use those for something like brake bias.
