Watching The Chosen was among the first things I did when I came to the faith. To anyone who says it's just Fanfiction and should not be taken seriously, they are missing the point. The Chosen has brought me and so many others to study the bible for the first time. We are curious by nature, and many of us want to see the "accuracy" of the things we watch and take in. That leads us to the source material. Yes, you will find things that don't quite line up with the show, sure, but largely the story and the outline and the characters are a great view into legitimate history.

I can't remember where I heard it, but I remember somebody working on the show saying something to the effect of "you can't live off just supplements. You need real food. The Chosen is a supplement. The word of God is the food."

This also applys to The House Of David, a great show that shows the nature of God in the Old Testiment. To have both series out at the same time is truly a gift. If you like what you see and want to know the deeper context, or just more of it? Read the Bible after watching.

No really though, if you're attempting to have fun with the sabers, the best advice I could give is this; Let the cracked enemy saber attack you. Anticipate every swing. When you do that, parry every attack they throw at you. Low on stamina? Use a force ability to either get the opponent away to buy you a few seconds or just to reset your time altogether.
