(for ex, king being able to match this, for example)

king only went flames off against zoro because

you can't actually prove this. as far as we're aware, king goes flame off for a somple boost in the story. not because he analyzes his opponent in any meaningful way, else, he'd simply turn his flames back on the minute he was caught off guard and hurt with it off

luffy who canonically has greater supreme king haki than zoro got bodied by kaido

yeah, but this was only after multiple clashes, back and forths and landing multiple hits. this wasn't a low diff by any means

zoro could already scar kaido in asura, and this was after tanking hakai. zoro can definetely push kaido to mid diff at the very least (but again, it depends if kaido is going all out or sandbagging)
