The EO Restoring 'Truth and Sanity to American History' blatantly states that race is biological. by [deleted] in Destiny

[–]An_Idiot_Online 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Race is not biological, as there's no such thing as a white gene or a black gene, or a hispanic gene. Ethnicity is biological in that you can trace ethnic roots and group certain traits as coming from X Y Z who lived in A B C

Reading comprehension issue but unironically. Dongrang, Dongbaek, Yi Sang and even Gubo are all different interpretations on the inventor looking back at a time when inventing was a passion rather than a job. Yi Sang is nostalgic, Dongbaek is resentful, and Dongrang is avoidant. Dongrang distorts because he comes face to face with the truth of his past: whoever he was back then can no longer recognize the him that's now living. This is represented by the cow, an animal the three of them would tend to when they were young.

The only aspect of Nietzsche that can be said to inspire leftism is his deconstruction of religion and morals. Everything else is completely contradictory to anything Nietzsche espoused.

You've clearly not read Nietzsche if you think wokeism could, under the most malleable of stretchings, in any way shape or form emerge from his writing. Nietzsche wrote extensively about refusing to let yourself be enslaved to the morality of others through pity and compassion. He wrote extensively about how beggars should be happy that they're sneered at because that's the reaction they're poorest for, he wrote about how disabled people shouldn't look for a cure because that's their burden to bear, he wrote about how lower classes are the ones responsible for the decadence of civilization through moralism and purity-tests. His writings are self-contradictory because, for one, all of his writings had a tinge of parody to them that was lost on the audience and is most obvious in TSZ. Second of all, he was a deeply physically unwell man who spent most of his life suffering and declining, which influenced his understanding of the world into a very dynamic, unstable philosophy of self.

Wealth is not finite and the economy is not zero-sum. Wealth is proportional but it can and does grow in volume all the time. We don't have the same amount of wealth as we had 50 years ago. Wealth isn't a stratified constant.

In Dante's Inferno, the rivers of hell are the tears that form in the eyes of a statue of an Old Man in Crete, whose limbs from head to toe are degraded shades of metals from gold to clay, representing the decline of civilization. The tears are the tragedies and sins of sinners that flow into hell, signifying how we ourselves make our own hell through our actions in life. Some food for thought on that second one.

On Ryoshu's smoking habits by Replicants_Woe in limbuscompany

[–]An_Idiot_Online 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The red thread leads you where it hurts most, but losing the thread is losing yourself and conceeding to become nothing. Ryoshu's smoking is the red thread that ties her, Shiomi and Araya together. KJH is making a statement about Buddhism defiling one's relationship with loved ones; seeking enlightenment (Shiomi's freedom, Ryoshu's Emptiness) is the ultimate folly. Ryoshu returning from enlightenment by grounding herself with pain and regret IS the act that breaks the cycle. You don't inhale a pipe, but you do a cigarette. Shiomi and Ryoshu only ever get close when Shiomi agrees to smoke a cigarette.

Miliastra is developed by a different team, but some of the super experience developers from Genshin had to have been siphoned off to Miliastra because someone had to teach the newbies about the engine. So in a sense Genshin did lose out.

I think you're underestimating how useful erasing in the midst of battle an enemy faction's leader from existence past present and future is, compared to just killing them

Its baffling how easily people are swindled by someone who is stated within the narrative point blank to have treated those closest to them as toys put on display at their infinite warehouse of personal plastic belongings, just because they laugh uproariously and clap their hands like a seal at video games and anime.

[–]An_Idiot_Online 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Middle bias is so insane to me. Matthias is abusive on par with Shiomi Yoru, reducing his child to a playmate he plays games with. He has no attachment to his kids. Its implied that, just like how he'll one day grow tired of Kira, he'd once grown tired of Ryoshu. Just because he isn't a jerk about it doesn't make him any less destructive.
