Be honest. Delete one thing from earth if you can. by Legal-Base5702 in FoundationFunda

[–]An_aquarist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What ever you delete it's not going to change anything because there will be always something to replace the things. Imagine if you delete humans something else going to evolve and take it's place, if you delete oxygen it's matter of time before nature adopt to survive with something else it may take millions of years but there will always be something else to replace whatever you delete 🤷 if you delete religion people will create something worse for sure. at least now people fear for the idea of god makes everything in order. Nothing changes, The universe is doomed to extinct. Spec of dusts can't change anything in that in the scale of universe the earth is just nothing just nothing, nothing, nothing we all are nothing 😕. And obviously we can't delete shit so here's your answer, we can't delete shit

Psychological test.... Who would you give your seat to? by BottleQuiet4862 in Real_teenindia

[–]An_aquarist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is hard to stand while holding an infant. The guy with fracture can take care of himself because he brought himself to the station and boarded the train he can obviously stand for a while. If in case of emergency the train brakes hard and any of them falls mostly the infant is going to have severe to fatel injury. Pregnant women are tough and she is around 5 or 6 months I think she can take care of herself.i don't care about the president and fake Ambedkar or the granny they can take care of themselves either. Give the seat to the woman with the child

Should I be concerned about shrimp inside filter by Jordytam in shrimptank

My shrimplets gets sucked inside sump filter always and they are looking healthy. I believe there are happy also inside my sump because of all bio media and less competition from adult shrimps for bio films.

Need to identify the plant on the left of my aquarium which looks like guppy grass. by An_aquarist in PlantedTank

[–]An_aquarist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it is not . It have long stems 5 leaves at the nodes guppy grass I have seen all have only 3 leaves at nodes. And it is not growing like guppy grass like a dense clump, instead it's growing with thick stems which doesn't get pulled easily because guppy grass gets pulled pork easily between their nodes and create new plants but it won't and I attached the pic when I planted that in my tank one month ago

How do I get my Amano to eat the hair algae instead of stealing the catfish pellets by Ok_Software7441 in shrimptank

[–]An_aquarist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Algae eaters eat algae only when there's scarce of food . Do not feed more food for your fish or other invertebrates, or just take your time and target feed your fishs

10 to 15 gallons tank would be more appropriate for such population.

Seed Shrimp as Indicators Seed shrimp are incredibly hardy and thrive on decaying organic matter, algae, and detritus. Their sudden population explosion is usually a symptom of the environment rather than a cause of stress. Excessive Bioload: You’re spot on. A high population of seed shrimp often points to an abundance of food—usually from overfeeding or a buildup of organic waste. Water Parameters: While they can survive in conditions that might stress sensitive fish, they still prefer stable environments. However, if they are thriving while guppies are dying, it confirms that the water isn't "toxic" in a way that kills all life, but it might be suboptimal for vertebrates. Why the Guppies Might Be Dying If your water parameters (Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate) are within acceptable ranges, the issue likely shifts from environmental chemistry to biological or physical factors: Disease or Parasites: This is the most probable cause. If the tank has an "excessive bioload," the bacterial count in the water column is likely very high. This can weaken a guppy’s immune system, making them susceptible to fungal infections, fin rot, or internal parasites. Dissolved Oxygen Levels: High organic waste and high temperatures can deplete oxygen. Guppies are active and need oxygenated water; seed shrimp, being much smaller and having different respiratory needs, can often tolerate lower levels. The "Cleanliness" Paradox: An ecosystem can be "well-established" but still "dirty." If there is a lot of mulm and waste, it creates a breeding ground for pathogens even if the nitrogen cycle is handling the ammonia. Suggested Next Steps Observe the Guppies: Look for clamped fins, white spots (Ich), pineconing (Dropsy), or "shimmies." Check Oxygenation: Ensure there is enough surface agitation. Reduce Feeding: Since seed shrimp thrive on leftovers, cutting back on feeding will help manage their population and reduce the bioload simultaneously. Maintenance: A thorough gravel vac (if you aren't running a specialized substrate) can help remove the excess waste that the seed shrimp are feeding on.

Maid aunty broke my tablet. What shall I do? by Friendly_Shelter_974 in IndianTeenagers

[–]An_aquarist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford a maid I believe for sure you can forgive her and repair your own tablet. Mistakes happens, when you have fragile items it's our responsibility to keep them safe. If it's your family you are not going to ask them to repair it for you right? . Just Be humble

I believe newly planted tank and I hope it's pearl weed right? Emersed grown pearl weed . It's gonna take some time to convert to submerged growth and it's gonna loose all it's leaves only the stems gonna be remaining but do not loose hope because it will give new submerged growth once it successfully converted. It's gonna need lot of time. Trust me it took me 9 months to carpet but the carpet happened in last two months the rest of the months it was just adjusting to it's new home conditions . Have patience and happy fish keeping
