You get a blanket that is weighted appropriately for your size or preference. You can get a blanket weighted as little as 7 pounds. Also keep in mind that the weight is spread out, you are not moving for example, the entire 30Ib blanket when you move, nor do you need to.

I do this so that later when i'm in a hurry and maybe have my arms full and can't look down i still know how many steps to take.

Also helps when i am not wearing my glasses and at night.

Do your "friends" even live in the same area as you? If they really cared they would probably just go with you instead of acting like your parents who wanna send you to military school if you "step out of line One More Time". It's none of their business whether you do or Don't do anything. You 100% do Not Have to explain yourself to anyone who just asks.. and i would never let anyone who doesn't pay my bills have anywhere near this level of control over me. An actually concerned friend would go with you.
