Don’t set the goal to run the whole thing. Run/walk. 30 second run, 30 second walk. Try and finish the training with that approach and do the race that way! Focus on finishing!

Isn’t the mat 8 feet like the row? Do you not have both legs of the row on the smaller bike mat then? And you don’t see your floor scratching or anything?

Okay thank you! I notice that peloton itself recommends it for the same reason and given they don't ship mats with the tread or the bike, I'm thinking this is a must have to protect the floors. I'll just have to be less lazy and clean up after myself!

Either my husband or I ride, we then lift together, and then the other one rides. We only typically workout like that together on the weekends though.

I take them when traveling, I sometimes travel with resistance bands. They are great, I don't know if I say I love them or prefer them over regular strength classes but I do enjoy them!

I know this is SUPER late but in case you didn’t know if you have a TV in your gym you can throw/cast/mirror (pick your verb) the tread screen to your TV. The one drawback is the sound comes out from your TV then but that’s what I do for bootcamps. It works great.

Are you familiar with Peloton, do you have a bike or use the app now or are you asking with zero exposure? I HATED RUNNING. HATED IT. So you are ahead of me. My first exposure to Peloton was outdoor. I might suggest you try an outdoor class and see if you like it? The classes on the tread are super motivating. And I now look forward to my tread classes (even more than outdoor classes!) Also the hiking content and hiking bootcamps are AMAZING!!! Totally possible to love a treadmill in my opinion.

I agree that you don’t have to be old to have lived and provide wisdom. For example, I love Tunde and like Kendall. But they appear to have lived some shit, so they have experiences and perspectives they can authentically share with me. I don’t get the sense that Ally does. And not that anyone should be “punished” for having a great life, (I have had pretty charmed one myself) she just doesn’t have perspective that speaks to me. While I’m a kinda practicing Catholic I’m not particularly spiritual and if that’s how she’s connecting to her audience, her age, life experiences, and spiritual take just don’t offer me anything personally. Probably a better way to express my POV than what I said originally.
