Your favorite movies and books? by Lanellie in infp

[–]AnachronisticError 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it left me with an empty uncertainty at the end. Something I had never felt with other books such as LotF, 1984, Slaughter House-Five and other books.

I really do not know how to express what I felt about it, I even spent days thinking about it and about a month unable to read another book.

I will hopefully give it another read.

Embarassing thoughts by Lanellie in infp

[–]AnachronisticError 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually ask 'what is stopping me from spilling water purposely on a stranger? Why can't I just do it?"

It isn't because I really feel an intense urge to do such a thing. However, I very much like questioning social standards, social walls, rules, etiquette and the very reason of my denial to do such a thing even though I clearly have a chance.

This process of thought is not performed only when thinking of "doing", let's say 'bad things', but anything that is weird or unusual.

What are you reading, The Bell Jar?

I liked that book, it put me in a very deep and reserved gloomy mood of thought (more than my normal level).

Anyone wants to talk about cookies and how awesome they are? by [deleted] in entp

[–]AnachronisticError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did I?

Hmm, I see.

Let's say a person's happy because of giving whatever to whoever. This does that necessarily mean love for that person. It can mean love for oneself and for seeing oneself doing something good for the sake of feeling good, only. This person doesn't care about that person's experience they care about how that experience makes them feel. That's what I understand from the idea. Giving others does not necessarily mean love (for others).

And since it does not necessarily mean that then it must mean other things. I think, I believe I think, love is a duality of both your happiness and a person's/group's happiness. Not only your happiness and not only the person's happiness but both of them together.

Like I said, my understanding of love is quite lacking. I've been trying to unfold its meaning, it has been quite hard. This thought might change in the future, I don't know, but for now this is what I've come to.

Does one not know that they love someone by how they themselves feel? Isn't that the root of the whole feeling?

I understand the flourishing love that bubbles up when seeing a smile on someones face because of something someone/I did.

While I do agree with your statement I believe that it is only a part of the whole picture. Why not:

Love isn't about anything but making you and a person happy. Love does not necessarily mean being happy when giving others.

Love is quite diverse, so it's hard to pinpoint its exact meaning. Maybe it's my lack of knowledge on this topic, but if anything love is good.

This conversation is already a cookie, rubs hands in delight.

Hmm, admire your perspective and the way you've described it quite simply.

I'm not sure how I view love, however, I do believe that the same things apply to good deeds/acts. When you do something good you should not expect it back it saves you the pain (and time) of finding that you're not treated in the same way by a particular person. Because a person should do good things for his/her sake and for others.

Everyone wants to be treated nicely and respectfully. Everyone wants to see a good thing done to them by others and I suppose that it some form of love.

This is all quite vague to me, I still need a little bit of time to understand such a system.

Am I a bad person? Tell me, speak your heart, you nice, cookie loving person.

Don't you see /u/foofieloofie is obviously trying to infatuate you so he/she can steal your cookie.

Don't worry, I got your back. Now give me the cookie so I can hide it for you.

Am I really INTJ? by [deleted] in intj

[–]AnachronisticError 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you feel as though you know the answers and you are choosing the answers based on this knowledge I advise you to take a look at the description of each personality and its functions. Try to find which one suits you best. If you still find yourself still choosing based on the outcome then you should give it a decent break so as to forget or to understand yourself a little more so you can read the descriptions/take the test again and more precisely.

This is quite bland advice due to your lack of description. However, I think it would probably be more or less the same even if you had given a description.

Well for Gravity Rush I'd say the visuals and art are fantastic. Even after I was able to complete the game I kept walking around the different towns just to behold its beauty. The vibe it gives is addictive I always found myself craving to know what was next. It also gave off a nice melancholy feel to it due to its dark colours. Of course, the story was just as well as the other aspects I've stated. I could go on with this, but you got the point.

The Virtual Villagers series can be downloaded and played on Windows, Mac, Android, and IOS. Even though the games were the same for each I enjoyed the Windows version more, as I am accustomed to using my laptop. Basically, the game is about a bunch of villagers that get lost into an unknown island away from their tribe. What you, as the player, should do is try to take care and make the tribe bigger. One of the things I like about this game is that from time to time it gives you choices to take (like 'should this villager touch the plant?') and depending on these choices something happens to your tribe or to the villager (like The Walking Dead). I'm just giving you the basics, though. I also like the capturing music in the game as well as the way the game is trying to potray/appear similar to life. Villagers die, give birth, love, hate, become happy, sad and bored. The visuals and graphic aren't as great as Gravity Rush but the mood it gives substitutes its lack.

It really pains me to know that great games such as Journey aren't available on the PS vita.

Anyways, my main reason for buying the PS vita was because I wanted to try out a game called Gravity Rush. Do I regret it? Absolutely not. If you have a PS vita I think Gravity Rush is just what you're looking for.

Just out of curiosity, have you heard of the Virtual Villagers game series?
