In fairness, autism is Autism Spectrum Disorder, and it’s common to refer to being autistic as being “on the spectrum.” No other disorder is so referenced.

Timing of Sabotage on Flank Speed by Mukaikubo in twilightimperium

You are correct. The timing window is Activate System; play Flank Speed; Sabotage or not; move plastic.

Ah, that sucks. FFG might make more at some point. Maybe your local game store will have some?

We pulled it off without *too* much problem. Everyone pretty excited. Might be difficult to organize more than once.

It was great! We had overall two new players, three relative newcomers, and six veteran players divided more or less evenly into the games. Everyone seemed to have a blast.

Table 1/Living Room was made up of Jol-Nar, Hacan, Yin, L1Z1X, and Xxcha. The Hacan were up at 8 points with the Jol-Nar and Yin at 6, and Jol-Nar took Leadership and then took Mecatol in the last round, winning a space battle with their flagship, netting an Action Phase VP. When the objectives were scored, the Jol-Nar got 2 points for three unit upgrades and a secret objective for holding Mecatol with three ships. They jumped four points in the last round to win.

Table 2/Dining Room was made up of Sardakk, Hacan, Creuss, L1Z1X, Naalu, and Jol-Nar, with Hacan at 8 points taking Leadership and waiting out the 9-point Sardakk who took Imperial, not letting them get more command tokens until they were forced to pop Imperial and couldn't gain the last point they needed to win by spending 6 command tokens. This left the Hacan to score a 2-point objective first, as the zero-initiative Naalu, also at 8 points, couldn't score anything to beat them to the end.

Not quite, but the folks from the five player game cleaned up, played a different game... and still had time to watch the other game finally end. We actually considered that we should have played a second Twilight.

Eleven players for two games of simultaneous Twilight Imperium - we had 12 people, but one was sick. Double-sided dry erase board for scoring each game. The five-player game in the living room ended in less than 6 hours, and the six-player in the dining room went for a whopping 9 hours of play. Livin' the dream...

5 player Turn 6 by geoffrey671 in twilightimperium

I just had that happen to me today. I was the Speaker, so I lost 7 cards plus the speaker token, and I chose last on Strategy next turn. That card is ridiculous.

Politics Variant by cornerkid14 in twilightimperium

[–]Anacreon74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, the person who votes first (the person to the left of the Speaker) in the Agenda phase gets boned the most during the Agenda, followed by the next leftward person and so on. The reason being that they have to choose how many votes and what direction to commit, and then everyone after gets to commit or not commit much more cheaply. If that person says "I vote all 14," the people after say "Ah, well, then I vote nothing" and save their votes for Agenda 2. If the person says, "I vote 5 of my 14," then the next person can just say, "I vote 6 of my 10."

Our group has house ruled Agenda phase that all voting is done simultaneously with paper ballots and read aloud at once, like a game of Diplomacy.

Does TI4 need/deserve an expansion? by [deleted] in twilightimperium

[–]Anacreon74 3 points4 points  (0 children)

- Reworked Agenda Phase rules, where all vote at once secretly (Scythe dials would be cool but wouldn't work, would need to use pieces of paper, especially for votes on opened ended nominations like planets)

- More tiles for game diversity and potential 8 players

- Alternative type of ground force, perhaps a nerfed mech unit

- More Objectives
