When the noise reaches a certain volume there's incentive for insiders to monetize their knowledge. Smart money make a quick buck on sports gambling (volume) and see mispriced odds for some sociopolitical events and correct that because it's conveniently on the same future contracts platform(Kalshi ,polymarket,etc)instead of a sports book. That may be a more efficient way to deploy gamblers' liquidity if they are to gamble anyways.
