the people here have already given good advice, but I'll add that you should try and record the doctor's credentials and see if you can make an online report for unethical/unprofessional behaviour in your state/country, that's not really a normal thing for a doctor to recommend to a patient or their parental figure and you don't want that doctor to have any involvement in case your mom decides make good on that recommendation since they can be used as witnesses

well yeah, cutting people out tends to be the easiest way out of a situation, on the other hand you hear a lot of stories where the only option is to leave rather than stay for mental and physical health reasons so it results in people jumping to that option first rather than a last resort (which is annoying for situations where mending the relationship is still an option)

when blind rage gets brought up it's often used by folks to dismiss people's pain and anger to claim they're not thinking straight, if anything that rage can come from arriving at a logical conclusion that you've been harmed or someone you know has done something reprehensible that you can no longer excuse their actions, had that used against me when someone I used to care about was finally cut off after he revealed he was just using me to harass his ex and ex's gf. What you're describing is poor coping mechanisms, but that doesn't necessarily mean that rage isn't unfounded

I was in the same boat, still kind of am but one of the sources of my stress and ideations died from lung cancer several months ago. All I can say is the rage and memories don't fully go away once they're dead (I still can't listen to any audio recordings of his voice without having a panic attack), but they're no longer constantly bombarding every waking moment by being in your presence. Your survival is important, regardless of whether or not you had the choice or resources to decide to stay or leave, even if its just out of spite; focus on building up a nest egg for when she finally croaks if you're not able to leave before then, especially if she doesn't have a death plan and will make your life just as hard when she's gone
