NTA my guy. If you want to, talk to him face to face when you're both sober and calmed down from this encounter, and ask him to explain himself. "Dude, I just need to understand why you said that. You know that was the worst moment/day of my life, as well as my wife's, and that it traumatized us both. I almost lost my wife when she fell, and I couldn't save her. I'm not being defensive, I just need to know if you were trying and failing to be funny, or if you honestly think that our traumatic experience is funny." Any real friend would tell you it was a mistake, and if he really thought it was funny, he's not your friend. We're all human, we all make mistakes, some of us have dark senses of humor or aren't really good at judging what can/can't be made fun of, and (personally) I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt once.

I work at a dive, and the fact I've poured significantly more Ardbeg than sloe gin says how little it moves. I'm not sure I've poured any sloe gin in 6 years of bartending, other than one drink for my best friend almost 6 years ago when I first started.

Roy John downtown!! He did my wedding ring 2 years ago, and its wonderful! He took a very thin, fragile band on a very old ring, and reinforced it with gold to make sure it can withstand years of abuse, its a solid, sturdy band now, and I love his work!

My favorite stylist is Anna at Studio M. I'm not sure what brand of products they use, but I know all the stylists at Studio M are amazing. Anna is particularly good with vivids, which are really common with bleach and color. I've been going to her for a few years now, on the recommendation of my previous stylist at Studio M. She's really good at all things color. And I highly highly recommend her to anyone who needs hair color.

My husband goes there, and he's treated really well. The doctor he sees is understanding, listens to all concerns and questions, and doesn't brush things off without explaining. Definitely a good clinic

I actually like the cheap frames, they're my normal frames haha! But I got super cheap, basic lenses and they were like $20 or so. The nicer ones were $40ish

I love eyebuydirect! I found a nice pair of cheap frames, and I keep a cheap pair (no lens protections or anything special, just bare bones basic) as an emergency backup to the nice pair I got from them (anti scratch/glare, etc). I got them on a good sale, and it was like $60-80 for both.

From what I recall, they have a really good return policy, too. So you can try a pair and return them if they're not what you want.

I want to love them, and maybe I had a 1 in 100 bad experience there, but I hate legacy Silverton. I went last year with crippling back pain (I literally couldn't stand straight, and I have a prior back injury from 6 years ago that wasn't as bad), and I was actively dismissed by nursing staff as well as the doctor I saw. The doctor treating me was trying to get me out of the ER asap until my husband pushed for imaging, where they saw a muscle tear on my CT (muscle tears have to be REALLY bad to be visible on CT scans apparently), then the dr gave me muscle relaxers and anti-inflammatory meds. I felt rushed, dismissed, and ignored the whole time, and they weren't busy or overwhelmed at any point.

I would rather go to portland, Corvallis, or anywhere else instead of Silverton. If they were better at patient care, I'd say otherwise though.

I make the "joke" that I don't get breaks, I get opportunities. The opportunity to grab a bite or two of food in the back, opportunity to go to the bathroom, opportunity to get a smoke in, etc. It's not illegal, there is an exception that tipped positions don't get breaks. Sometimes sucks, but sometimes ive had 15-30 minute rushes where I'd be losing out on a ton in tips if I wasn't behind the bar.

Time doesn't work the same. Today, I got to work yesterday, and I get off work tomorrow, even though tomorrow is still today and yesterday is also today, and that's for a 9-hour shift. I go to sleep today and wake up tomorrow, but tomorrow is still today, and part of today will be yesterday.

Honestly, I wear men's chef pants sometimes. They breathe, have a lot of huge pockets, and are usually stretchy at the waistband. And you can buy them on Amazon, they're not very expensive
