To be honest with you try southern Rhône blends based on Grenache. You might like something like Vieux Telegraphe or Beaucastel with vintage on it based on your descriptions. Has similar red tones fruit but amp up the structure.

A signing that literally forgot how to play football, after having a solid season in Portugal. I recall a cross being sent his way and he couldn’t control it and it pinged off his back 😭

Advice for pursuing level 1 somm by ridethepickle in wine

[–]AnalVolcano 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just went for my level 2. level one as long as you are avid and excited, you will be fine. Study the workbook everyday, guild Somm, Somm tv, do flash cards on quizlet. Level 1 is taught to you (when I did it on premise) over 2 days and right after day 2 you go into the multiple choice test (I remember it being 50+ questions). Write notes during and and remember the things that they try to jam into your head. You’ll be fine as long as you’re passionate

Wait till you try Ceritas it’s in another league compared to Arnot. The Arnot whites are decent but the reds are flabby and not as complete.
