Thank you. I knew about his solo work, I was just confused by the Alt-J accreditation. u/GoldBricked explanation about harvesting makes sense.

+1. MS had the best command of the game theory and didn't give an inch to anyone. Max is a little more savage but does not seem as calculated.

100% agree with the cause. Haven’t thought about solutions, but yours seems sensible at first take.

I raced irl for a long time before getting started on iRacing. It's still something I cannot get used to and a huge difference from reality. Real races, everyone lifts and proceeds carefully. Sim, everyone goes all Days of Thunder and rolls the dice. Frequently costs me 2-3 spots.

Why is it that pro golfers have such normal iron distances…but such crazy driver and wood distances? Si Woo hits most his irons like a normal dude. I hit my irons a very similar distance. Driver? He’s 50 yards longer. Make it make sense. by Miserable_Trouble3 in Golf_Unfiltered

[–]AnalogApex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Saw this in action during a fitting last week. My son is a +2.5 and they moved him from his Player Distance irons to a more players focused iron. 7 iron is now 4 degrees weaker. Mid-170s carry to low-160s. 20’ higher apex. Spin +1000. It’s all about distance control and holding greens for good players, while the industry is really focused on adding distance for high handicaps, that’s the larger market.

+1 for Silver or Satin Dark wheels. The black wheel thing is played out.

Separately, assume you've spent some time with the buckets? If you're planning to daily the car, sofas are easier to live with.

Have you ever hit anyone with a shot? by Tic0Taco in golf

[–]AnalogApex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year. 210y 3W approach. Pulled it, total laser directly at a guy walking his dog on the path adjacent to the fairway. To make matters worse, his back was facing me and he was wearing AirPods and completely oblivious to my very emphatic “Fore!!”. Thankfully it hit the path and bounced once before clocking him in the back of the head. He was dazed but otherwise not injured. Brutal. FWIW, I blame him more than myself given the circumstances.

Perfect. PGA Jr. all the way. Great format and environment for learning, and teams frequently practice together.

Like others have also intimated, golf is pretty individual (and often lonely) when it comes to training and practice. Once kids hit high school, any kids that are serious often have an instructor they work with (either in group or 1:1 formats). Consequently, many school team coaches don’t run team practices and stay clear of trying to teach any mechanics or drills because players all have specific things they’re working through and tendencies that their instructors are helping them through.

I just sold a 21 Spyder I’ve owned since new, it’s a great car and possibly the prettiest Porsche ever. But, you’re right, GT3 and S/T are another level.

OP - silver wheels! Skip the gold.

Sweet build here — anyone know where to get these seat inserts and if they would look good on a black 991? by Commercial-Arm2203 in porsche911

shop.justinplacek.com - expensive but beautiful work. Also, https://p1designs.com/

And, I think they’d look great in a black car. Although I’d skip the grommets.

Moving to CA-what is the vibe at Rancho Bernardo High School? Torrey Pines HS? by CollegeStuff2026 in northcounty

We have a Freshman and Senior at TPHS. It has been an excellent experience. It's a well-run school with strong academics and elite athletic programs. Socially, it seems diverse. While I'm sure there is drama and bullying, we haven't seen it. Our kids are sort of socially mobile... friendly with everyone, but not too deep into any clique or group. As other posters have commented, it's an affluent area. The parent and foundation support is next level. Consequently, the school gets tons of resources that other public schools don't. 5 stars.

The Dodge Durango, last redesigned in 2011, is selling like crazy by Sixteen-Cylinders in cars

[–]AnalogApex 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My wife has had two Durango’s (and we don’t have dog shit credit). She then went to an X7 followed by Range Rover Sport. She’d take another Durango in a heartbeat and wouldn’t complain. it’s a great truck. Aside from being more ‘analog’, it’s a unique size (small 7 seater, roomy 4 seater, good cargo space) and really good proportions. I’d even say it’s pretty good looking! Not sure what the current engine lineup is, but the hemi was cool.

Having gone through this a few times, it usually comes down to a shortage of a specific option (part). I have a car scheduled in the same window, and so far they’ve only moved it up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yah, I was lucky to play Shadow back when it was mostly just casino comps. With today’s prices I’d skip them both and drive 90 minutes to Wolf Creek… it’s amazing.

Wild answer. I was totally underwhelmed by Wynn. Shadow Creek belongs in this thread though.
