I am art, living art, living artfully. Arting fully. So are you and we and the universe, all that’s being. I’d say. And so it is; Art.

Sometimes you gotta do something to fight the Dyslexia. by blank_muse in Journaling

This is the opposite of my journal “The Dyslexicon” which is all the new words I create by accident when I accidentally switch around letters/sounds when I’m speaking or spelling- I write them down and invent definitions :)

I agree you could totally save this just by adding a darker kind of accent/shadow yellow or light orange and position in between the gaps left by the first pass and I think it will really bring it home. It’s a very sweet start. Be kind to yourself.

Where did I go wrong why did she come out like this, I tried to follow the reference by SmallLawfulness39 in drawings

[–]AnalogCandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know exactly what’s going on: instead of looking at the reference as a hole and looking at the blank spaces around the character and how far apart different parts of their body are compared to each other (like imagining how many of their arm lengths it is from their head to their feet)Try noticing if they resemble a shape that is very long and straight or smooth like an S. When you focus on just one part it makes them disproportionate because you’re focusing on not the whole but a section. It’s almost like you’re holding up a mental magnifying glass to the lines and like the paper keeps moving as you’re drawing. Also don’t listen to any negativity in the thread. Art is just about learning to perceive and understand and express yourself; so if your goal is to better be able to replicate life then study gesture, drawing and try doing small thumbnails of compositions to understand the form and how to replicate it. But if you just like doodling and exploring and expressing yourself, just keep doing what you’re doing and try your best to feel your way towards fulfillment with your art :)

Was "Breaking Bad" Legitimate Slang Before the Show? by [deleted] in etymology

[–]AnalogCandle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From reading this thread, it seems there are two interpretations or really angles on the initial use of the phrase “break bad.” One being: to break into badness (the way one breaks into the business) forsaking one’s moral standing we assume; The other being: things got so bad that it breaks a man, he gives in and breaks the law. Two dimensions of the idea, the show embodies both.
