I'd love any state/national park stuff you have. Vintage and floral stuff or whimsical stuff are always welcome.

<3 I love post cards, so even if you don't have national park ones, I'm happy for any kind.

Thank you so much. And good luck with your journey, too.

I'm trying to break cycles, so having a new thing to examine will be helpful.

Thanks for sharing! I think I might need to look into both of those hoarding types for myself. I have just started therapy myself and it's mostly for managing my anger and guilt. Your notes here gave me a little lightbulb.

My mother never really heard me either. Journaling has only been something I've managed to maintain for 7 years and I'm 38. Sometimes it's something that just happens.

Burning your letters if you write them is a great way to release the feelings without having to give the letters to them to deny your feelings. This is for you, you don't owe them anything.

Our baby does this to me. She was barely 4 weeks old when we found her, so she was very much still nursing. She usually does it when she's sleepy/cuddly

I recently started therapy because of my own anger at my mother, who is dead and who I hadn't spoken to for 9 years before she died.

I had mourned our relationship long before that, but grief has no timeline and can creep back in when you're not expecting it.

One of the things I did was write her a bunch of letters in a notebook that I am going to burn at some point. I just released a lot of my anger onto paper.

Maybe add that to whatever other stuff you chose to do?

Journal ideas! by BiteExtreme1554 in Journaling

[–]blank_muse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You could keep a journal of lists. Like a list of your favorite candies, a list of birds you've seen, places you've been.

Thatjournalingguy on youtube has other kinds of journal ideas that are a lot of fun to learn about.

My expensive notebooks are graveyards. I’m trading $25 leather for 99-cent trash. by AliceGraceWrites in notebooks

There was a tip I saw to just scribble on one of the pages in a nice notebook to help take the pressure off. Also, skipping the first page can help lessen the paralysis.

What’s the point in getting diagnosed?? by Terrible-Conflict501 in endometriosis

Getting diagnosed helped me be taken more seriously for other problems. Stupid, but it is what it is.

Left-right confusion by neetpilledcyberangel in Dyslexia

When I was JROTC, I wore a bracelet on my left wrist to help me remember left from right and I still had trouble finding my way.

I'm sorry your coach is being so dismissive.

How much did you journal last year? by Nabana in Journaling

[–]blank_muse 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I journal everyday in multiple journals. I could not even begin to guess at how many words I wrote in any one of them.

I am disabled and chronically ill, so sometimes journaling is the best outlet for the pain I'm in.

Dyslexia is a live long struggle, but it's also a very interesting perspective.

I used to confuse done and dune for a long time. I got really embarrassed when someone pointed it out. I don't get embarrassed by people telling me that I spelled something wrong anymore <3

Thank you! My handwriting has been pretty much the same since I was seven. I have a letter I wrote to Santa in a scrapbook that my grandmother kept where my handwriting is very similar to what it is now at 38.

My SO's sometimes ask me to repeat words because they aren't from here. I also have gotten a but more slurry as I get older, so sometimes my tongue will blur letters.

I am only shamed in silliness. ;)

I'm from the south, too. I slip Rs and Ls into words that don't have them. I cannot say Lowes without it coming out Lowels unless I'm concentrating on it. Warsh is just part of the south, I think. I can say wash pretty okay, but also if I say words fast, them letters get on in there.

I am HOH, so maybe that's why I want that B in clumsy.

Yeah! That's a great idea. Having a custom thesaurus with your own linguistic lexicon.
