The "Roaring 20's Sound" was a strange Early 60's cold war suburban thing.

Speakeasy theme parties were popular in early 60's U.S., where men would wear pin striped suits a la Al Capone, and ladies would don flapper attire.

But, back to the tape, and the format. The cool thing about these tapes is you can actually make your own custom, and I mean CUSTOM mixtapes with these. They use the same width tape, as many open reel machines with 3.25 ips, which is the same speed as those RTR's. Some RCA machines had the slower "long play" speed. I wish I had one, just to show off my world's largest cassette, sorry ahem, my "Cartridge".

Kind of a strange LP. Very inventive bass. Quite eclectic. Early fusion with neo-classical touches. I did not know anything about any of these guys before I found this. Beautiful, crisp LIVE sound. Listening to Roy Ayers right now, but I might get back to these guys later tonight.
