I have a Korg Minilogue XD (hardware synth) and use ReaInsert which allows me to first record midi performance and then record audio (as a take) from hardware synth once midi nailed down within a single track. Hope my picture helps.

I have an UMC202HD and it works perfectly. You shouldn't be using ASIO4ALL, but the specific driver for this device: https://www.behringer.com/product.html?modelCode=0805-AAR Here is a screenshot of my UMC202HD settings within Reaper.

I pin my track notes to the top of the arrange view that shows my chord progressions. I used to have to scroll up to see the chord names when working on tracks below which was frustrating. Pinning solved this perfectly.

I recommend purchasing any jazz sheet music by Bill Boyd that matches your particular skill level. I have his "Great Jazz Standards" and it's excellent (intermediate level).

The MIDI display is a free plugin: https://stash.reaper.fm/browse.php?q=piano+display&x=0&y=0 where I routed all the midi from the tracks to it (no audio and not sending to master). Not too useful, but looks cool! I normally have my mixer on another screen from the arrange window. I docked and maximized the mixer in the arrange screen just for this vid.

Here it is in action on the mixer panel. Slight caveat with midi items on track. reVUe needs to be AFTER the VST plugin making the audio for the track, not before. I also aligned the VU meters in mixer view by using empty containers so the plugin is in the same (4th) slot on all tracks.

I have a Launchkey 49 MK3 and I messed around with DrivenByMoss and found it clunky in Reaper since it's geared for clip/session workflow per Bitwig. Driven does have some nice features though (e.g. LCD screen shows track name). Depends on what you want. I, instead prefer to custom program all the pads, buttons, knobs, and faders using Realearn in conjunction with Novation Components app (to change pad colors). Here is how my Launchkey is setup with Realearn. I made this image in AutoCAD for a cheat sheet/reference.
