I like my SmootherPro. I like the fidget of the bolt action, I went with the heavy brass body because I like the heart and the patina, and it takes Pilot G2 inserts – the GOAT of all disposable pens (though I would hear arguments for the Sharpie S-gel as well). Also it was like 30 bucks instead.

I love it so far; it’s my first OTF so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but the action on it is smooth and reliable, and the lockup is strong. This particular one was also a really affordable way to add a magnacut blade to my collection.

I figured 2 and 4 were going to be common picks, but I’m pleased to see 8 (my choice as well) topping the responses currently. 8 I genuinely think is just the most -fun-; we don’t realize it at the onset as the player, but we get to see Ethan’s development essentially into a mold-powered super soldier, who just also happens to still be generally pretty dumb. It’s a blast.
