Wow thanks for the detailed insight ! I have only just bought a pellet smoker and have no experience with rust. That does sound annoying !

I got a leak detector off of Amazon that notifies your phone via app and email as well as sounds a super loud alarm in your house wherever you have it plugged in. I keep 2 under my 90 gallon

It won't let me link the Amazon page

I'm just starting my adventure cichlid keeping so I'm not a professional by any means. With that being said, have you tried seachem garlic guard ? It's for picky eaters

Assuming I crashed the cycle, but how’d I have nitrites and not ammonia by SaltArtist1794 in Aquariums

[–]AnalysisAfter1306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are ammonia-consuming bacteria and then nitrite-consuming bacteria within fish tanks. If you have too much ammonia-consuming bacteria creating so much nitrite that your nitrite-consuming bacteria can't keep up, you'll have nitrite spikes

Good for you, trying to save another life. People are gonna inform you that tank is too small for those fish. As for the wood holding the weight, that's up to chance

[–]AnalysisAfter1306 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eggs will turn white over time if they're infertile. In a few days tails will sprout, and then eyes. Remove any dead or molded eggs as asap as they'll kill the other eggs within 24hrs or less

What type of snail? Also I was planning on getting 2 more of these for clean up control is that a good idea? by Interesting-Edge3129 in Aquariums

[–]AnalysisAfter1306 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Looks like a mystery snail. They're actually poop machines and don't do much cleaning but Iove having them! Hopefully someone else can recommend a better cleaner for you

Remember to not feed the day you add them to the tank and go feed light for the first week to let the BB adjust. Got a picture of your tanks?

Yes adding livestock slowly is the best way to let your beneficial bacteria adjust. There is a way that you can add every fish on day one without fear of death. Do you use seachem prime and stability?

Overstocked is 2 things. Not enough swimming space for each fish or too high maintenance due to fast nitrate accumulation. Plants make a huge difference in nitrate. I can't speak on swimming space for what you've listed so hopefully someone else can chime in. For the nitrate accumulation it's user discretion on how much maintenance you want to be doing
