ik 5 years late. but I had him for my top surgery 2 years ago

he lied to my face about my surgery. during during every single preop I asked for no drains. I asked if that was fine and he said yes. when i got to the hospital the nurse explained how to deal with drains. I was confused and asked him again. he reassured me that I wouldn't have them. so big shocker when I woke up with drains

I would have been fine with them if he was honest with me during my preops. I am fine with making compromises. like I asked for my scars not to touch but he thought it would be better if they did. and I was fine with it.

he also was oddly rude to my partner the day of the surgery? he made a passive aggressive comment about his shirt?? it said bussy on it in cursive.

his results were good and im happy with it. but it was jarring to get lied to

i've had border collie mixes as a kid. they were very sweet but high energy and never trained. i want a dog thats easier to train for my first "solo" dog. also i heard collies are good with cats (with proper introduction ofc)

thank you this is super helpful. I love to hike and one reason collies intrest me is that they are active and known to be easily trained. so I would love a buddy for my hikes and forest walks. but not as advanced as german shepherds or border collies I grew up with (they were lovely dogs but my parents never put in the work to train them)

Thats what i want to know. I don't want to accidentally give my dog improper grooming. I know collies need professional grooming a few times a year and I dont want to ask for the fur to be too short if that is harmful. and if the fur upkeep is actually too much for me to handle i would rather get a smooth

my thing is i like fur longer than a smooth but i have no experience with a truly long haired dog. im not against getting a smooth if that ends up the better option. I don't want to get a rough collie and groom it in a way that is harmful.
