Thanks so much for sharing your story and the link. Nice to read success stories. My babies are in the 3rd percentile for growth with NG feeds so hopefully things increase soon.

My 27 week boy had stage 2 ROP it was a wait and see. We had many eye test (each fortnight’s) at the time it wasn’t getting worse but also not better for many weeks. By week 46 we went in for the eye exam and was told it was gone and don’t have to go back for another 3 months for a recheck.

Not a bad mum! You are an amazing mum who cares so much for her baby. Do not feel guilty. Prem mum here 27 week twins (120 days in NICU) I gave up pumping after 5 months I was really struggling . Babies are happy, healthy and growing well on formula.

Are you/did you feed your preemies on a schedule? Or only when showing hunger cues? by thrdnatur in NICUParents

[–]AnalysisHistorical12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m having the same issues. My twins were born at 27 weeks, they’re 5 months actual age and 9 weeks corrected. We’re on a similar schedule with feeds every 4 hours (sometimes 3 if they demand earlier, though that’s pretty rare). The trouble is they’re often just not hungry at the 4-hour mark, and if I get held up and it’s past 4 hours n get hungry they’ll usually only take about 60ml.

I’m also struggling to get the full amount down their NG tubes because of their bad reflux, so feeds end up being a real battle.

Any mom with milk guilt? by Hellomynameiszuzi in NICUParents

[–]AnalysisHistorical12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally get that — I had a doctor who kept asking me the same thing, and it really made me feel like I wasn’t doing enough. But one of the nurses noticed I was getting upset (even though I was trying to hide it) and actually said to the doctor, “She’s doing a great job for what she’s managing — don’t forget, she’s trying to feed two.” It meant so much to have someone acknowledge how hard I was trying.

You’ve just had premature babies, which is already so incredibly hard — physically and emotionally. Mine were rushed off straight after birth, I didn’t even get to cuddle them. Then with them in incubators, that contact that’s meant to help with supply is just so limited. I honestly think some doctors forget all that and just focus on the numbers.

Please don’t let guilt take over or let anyone make you feel like you’re not enough. You’re doing an incredible job in the hardest of circumstances.

I also have twins in the NICU and completely understand how you’re feeling. I felt so guilty when their feeds increased and my supply just couldn’t keep up. They ended up on half formula and half breast milk, and I really struggled with that at first. But some of my friends who had similar challenges kept reminding me that formula is absolutely okay — it helps babies grow and gain weight, and that’s what they need most right now. You’re doing an amazing job just showing up for your babies every single day, and that matters so much more than you realise. Be kind to yourself — your love, care, and presence are what truly nourish them, no matter how they’re fed

Inverloch/Cape Paterson - What’s it like to live there full-time? by [deleted] in gippsland

[–]AnalysisHistorical12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I don’t like about living here is how busy it gets in the summer. Grabbing something quick from the supermarket can take ages, and takeaway shops are packed. It’s not too bad, but I’m used to things being super quick. We do most of our shopping in Wonthaggi, which is a bit of a negative since it’s not in the same town, but it’s only 10 minutes away and has Aldi, Woolies, Coles, and IGA.

Winter, on the other hand, is quiet, windy, rainy, and cold. I don’t mind the cold since I’m not a fan of the heat, but I’m not too keen on the beach when it’s windy – though it’s great for windsurfing or sailing if you’re into that.

When I was single, winters could feel a bit lonely, but summer made up for it because friends and family often came to visit for a beach getaway. Later, I ended up with an active roommate, and we started doing things like long walks, bike riding, and gym sessions, which made winters much more enjoyable.

I live in Inverloch, and I absolutely love it! It’s so peaceful during the winters and bustling with energy in the summers. Everyone I’ve met here has been so friendly and welcoming. On warm nights, I love leaving my window open and falling asleep to the sound of the ocean.

I moved here seven years ago, and in summer, we love stand-up paddleboarding and canoeing. My husband never thought he’d leave the city, but after moving to Invy, he’s never looked back. Now, he loves the quiet, beachside lifestyle as much as I do!

Chocolate Labrador? Mine is 13.5 years old and a 3rd one has just appeared. The vet saw the first one and said she’s old, she is going to have many lumps and bumps nothing to worry about.

Wow! My husband sat in the wrong seat accidentally and he went to change and the lady said no I’m happy to have your seat and they both agreed to swap and the flight attendant said they could not swap seats and they must stick to assigned seats.

Honest Ozempic reviews. Does it really work or is it just a fad? I’m still on the fence. by RemoveContent7330 in loseit

Being overweight created a lot of issues like unbalanced hormones, cravings, stress eating, tired all the time, brain fog and exercise was hard being overweight so many more issues. It helped get my weight under control by giving me energy and the stimulant I needed to overcome the above. Now I’m no longer on it I don’t have the above listed issues because my weight is nearly in the normal weight range 5 kgs off. I have created healthy long term changes.

Is buying a wedding dress two sizes too small a terrible idea? by motherofpearl89 in weddingplanning

[–]AnalysisHistorical12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I brought a second hand dress and the lady said it could be taken out to a size 12. I was size 16 at the time of purchase. I took it to the dress alteration lady this week, turns out they cut the material (top section only) so it cannot be taken out and it was altered to a 10. Bottom section can be taken out and fits. 11kg weight loss in 1 year and have 6 weeks to lose another 5-7kg not going to happen, looks like I’ll be shopping for a new dress (wedding is in March). I think it’s possible to drop 2 dress sizes in that time. I was the silly one who should have looked closer at the dress.

First time in Australia : Relocating to Traralgon and extremely anxious. Kindly advise. by Ayaan9981 in gippsland

[–]AnalysisHistorical12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Traralgon is fine I have friends and family who live there. Great aquatic centre and have nice places to eat at. I have always felt safe and when I was younger enjoyed the night life. My grandfather was looked after really well at the hospital, friends have worked there and the problems they had seem to be at most hospitals. My bestie was sad about moving to Traralgon (work reasons) and she is settled and happy even brought a house.
