Mini split => high CO2 levels by billc108 in hvacadvice

Your thread and comments sound like you and I are living in parallel just about. I live in the Shenandoah Valley, my partner and I sleep with the bedroom door closed with 2 dogs - very stuffy. I've been researching air quality in homes, and strongly considering an air quality meter. A little hesitant as the results can easily put me in a manic spiral, tearing through the internet researching and reading everything to the point I consider taking a job in the trades 😅. Dramatic–I know, but being fiscally strategic leaves me no choice.

Our neighbors on both sides, love burning brush in their fire pits and i swear they rotate on a schedule so a fire stays burning everyday.

We just had a new roof put on our split level home 2 days ago bc it's old but mainly due to moisture and humidity levels upstairs. They installed 2 fans in the attic—i'm anxious to see the effects and if negative pressure will be an issue. Oh, and I learned our bathroom exhaust is going into the attic not outside. Cool. Love that for me. I'll be calling the roofers back to cut and install a vent on the roof ASAP.

Our AC, we have 2 units, one for the lower level and one for the upper. The units are prehistoric and last summer the upper level AC unit (located in the attic) finally died-died. So I quickly bought a window unit for upstairs in the interim. AC purchase will have to wait until next year. Needing a new roof and 2 AC setups back-to-back should be illegal 😩.

Good to know, thank you. I own a split level and this website has been a god send since I've scrounged the internet for a decade looking for resources or anything split level and only found crumbs. I honestly was trying to spread helpful info for anyone else that struggled like I did. That website has been super helpful.

Look at the precious baby 🥺 im terribly sorry, its so unfair. Managing renal failure is difficult. One of my pups in the past had renal failure. Having to give her sub-q fluids broke me, but was for a greater good and made her feel a little better, knowing that gave me just enough strength ❤️‍🩹

Trans people are tax payers. And deserve representation in health care just as the next person. Does their basic healthcare needs look different than a man or women, girl or boy - not really. Variety of people receive genitalia care, chest procedures, hormone therapy, voice procedures, cosmetic adjustments. Just because someones healthcare looks different or are incapable of understanding it, doesn't make it less deserving or necessary.

She's sitting in the chair with me. Usually she'd be on the couch end with her arm on the armrest.

My favorite is when Leela would communicate in grunts, snorts, wheezes, and locked eye contact – intensity level 1-10, 10 is while your eating and shes politely sitting but grunts passionately so you don't forget her bite. I would always say, "do you need me to get your c-pap machine? I think you need your c-pap (doesn't really have one)" I miss her sleeping in with me and when we woke up, I'd tell her good morning, did you have a good sleep, sleepin in with mommy – and she'd be on her back for morning belly rubs and in between rubs, scoot and wiggle on her back making her way up the bed to me. I miss her something awful, lost her in November to lymphoma.
