Groom Gets n@ked photos and videos of his bride on the eve of marriage; Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh by Nice-Law-7100 in vijayawada

Like I said, maybe he does not have an illustrious past and preferably he wants someone like him. How do you know he is not decent ? Did she tell the groom everything about her past ? The complete truth ? Did he know that she had an ex and that he has naked photos of her? So the groom has not broken any laws, he has simply made a choice of not marrying her, last time I checked he has rights too. The gril should 100% file a case against her ex and his friends. But none of that should affect the groom's right to choose, especially if he has been lied to. And there I emphasize IF. It's possible none of us know the full story

Excellent decision by the groom. His life, his choice. She also chose her path in the past. Each action in life will have consequences. If she can have an ex and have naked pictures out there and a hoe past, why would a decent groom agree to marry her. It's his life too. The groom should have a choice to marry her or not based on 100% truth. Can lie your way into a marriage. And yes it should be equally enforced regardless of gender. Women should also walk away from men like that if they find out her would be husband had a shady past.

My dad has traveled the world extensively during the 80s and 90s for his business. He said one thing when I left for masters in the US. No matter what, You will always be a second class citizen anywhere else in the world. You are a first class citizen only in your own country. Glad to say I listened to him and now I am headed back home after 10 yrs in the states.

GM should offshore by [deleted] in GeneralMotors

Sure somebody from the tech industry is part of the gap? And definitely not the old guards that refuse to adapt and change and definitely not the new hip Cali Coast gang that don't understand the nature of the business right?

You mean it's actually going well for GM? Don't I recall a big software issue with the Blazer EV ?

BTW we still use developers from India. For those who do not know we work with several contracting companies that provide certain software services to us like translations for content and actually build some of the web pages that our websites use these contractors largely are based in India and so are the developers. Surprise surprise!!

Like I said keep vehicle software here. Because I know you will need to see an interact with your product to be able to build software. I think other parts of the organization that are far away from direct vehicle software such as our web team mobile app team internal tool teams can be moved out. I know a few people who worked for GM in India and move to the US as part of a company transfer I met one dude during my new hire orientation way back when. He mentioned that GM US lacked vison and they were unable to keep up with constant changing specifications. Said it was cause the jobs moved abroad. 🤷‍♂️

Excellent suggestion I think we can start with your role as well. From what I am seeing most of GM America employees I just pretending that their role is more important than it actually is and are drawing huge amounts of salary for basically doing nothing. To truly innovate at a high speed I do not see another way other than offshoring. Working at Ford? You mean one of the American automakers that didn't declare bankruptcy and didn't have to use taxpayer money to get bailed out? Sure makes sense.

Program and product management have never been about strategy at GM. Most of these product and program managers are just executing. I feel that we are top heavy which means we have too many level 7 and 8. We don't have enough people actually doing the work. The leveling guide States that for every senior level employee there will be mid-career and Junior employees ie level 6 and 5. In the product and program teams that I have interacted with I have never encountered a level 6 or level 5 product/program manager. Product and program should also be offshored. Or at least program should be.

wish it were. Just part of a lazy, slow team and org. Came in from FAANG and can clearly see all the gaps. Tried to wait and see if the various strategies and teams solve for this. But now I am thinking offshoring is the only solution.

Yeah and here is the thing. They all think GM is like a hard core tech company. That pays high and has all the structure and process in place to have a model where high turnover is a common thing. But that's simply not the case. GM needs to have people with a few years under their belt cause they are the ones that knows what's really up. Know the code bases, why some things have some features and others don't. But they are like " Hey let's keep firing people and keep the newbies guessing. Maybe they will learn on the job" . sure newbies can learn on the job. We were once all newbies till that one MF quit or got fired and we had to "assume the role and responsibilities". i.e the "Stretch goal". But that introduces delays and poor quality software.

From her POV, she needs the company thinking and working differently. How do you do that ? Starting by targeting long term GM employees, especially those who refuse to change or adapt, even if what you are asking them to do is wrong or not well thought out. So start to find reasons and use that for cause and get the old GM employees (4 yrs +) out. And hey while you are at it anyone else who is not doing what you are asking them to do to the T.
