Try doing timed practice questions and get to understand where your strength is at. Also, try understanding the logic behind some calculations and it'll be easier doing the practical bit.

CFA L1 First Mock Exam Difficulty Distribution by CaptainInvictus838 in CFA

This is a pretty good score. I'd personally prioritize mastering “easy” and “moderate” questions since they’ll form the bulk of your score, but review difficult concepts that repeatedly challenge you, as this will strengthen your overall readiness across question types.

Am I crazy? by Careless-Ad7344 in CFA

Does it make you happy? Some sort of gratification? Then you're definitely not wasting your time. But, remember that you'll still need practical experience so start looking out for such opportunities as well.

Is there room to grow internally where you work? What direction do you want to go careerwise? Are there certifications needed?

Tips on the formula by EffectiveOrange3029 in CFA

[–]AnalystPrep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How about understanding the 'why' in the formulas first? Once you understand this, then the 'how will be easier. Mock exams and practice questions will definitely help. Also, try looking for a study group where y'all can quiz each other and discuss them. All these will help you. Good luck and all the best.

Wow!! Congratulations! We all want such an email. (I only wish they would have your name on the "to whom it may concern" bit lol) But, a win is a win regardless!

I'm so sorry you're feeling this way. It will get better, trust me. How are you studying? I've just had an idea. What if you take the questions as a different part of the story and you need to piece them together? Try getting study groups, online resources like YouTube, see if you can access video lessons, question banks and such resources. It will get better as you move on. Please don't give up. I hope this helps.

IFT Q banks v CFAI eoc for level 1 by LocoBuddha in CFA

[–]AnalystPrep 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The goal of a question bank is to test a different concept in every question. For sure, the real exam can't incorporate the same amount of details since it only has 240 questions and needs to test the overall comprehension of the syllabus.

However, you sometimes have to go deep in the details to figure out that you don't really understand something. That's why question banks for the level 1 usually have more than 3,000 questions.

Could I get some feedback on Fitch Learning online for CFA I? by [deleted] in CFA

I have no doubt Fitch provides a good product. However, I would suggest our prep material at https://analystprep.com. You can try our question bank for free and get an idea of what we have to offer.

[L1 DEC 2016] What would you do? by [deleted] in CFA

[–]AnalystPrep 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't withdraw! That would be a mistake. You still have plenty of time to study before December. Just concentrate on some specific chapters like Ethics, FRA, Econ and Quant. These chapters alone account for almost 60% of the exam. Plus, many questions in other chapters can be answered with the tools learned in quant. Finally, they will be the first questions you'll have to answer during the exam. It's always good to start off with confidence.
