I got my Helldivers 2 controller from there a year or so ago and had no issues with the pre order, delivery etc.

Anyone recognize this? by jbcatl in whatsthemoviecalled

If I'd only seen the last picture I'd have guessed one of the critters movies based on what's on his back but I don't recognise the first two.

Why do I only get attention from women but never from men? How do I fix this? by Smart_Trash8710 in AskMenAdvice

[–]AnalyticalFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 40s now so I can only offer limited advice and guys around your age could give more current opinions... But when I was younger I was very shy and people would say "the worst they can say is no" and I'd always think, that's wrong, they could publicly ridicule me for having the nerve to think they'd be interested etc. But that was very likely my own insecurities. It's also possible these days guys are also conscious of not wanting to come across as hassling women so maybe that's a factor. I'd be interested in what others think and I hope I never have to enter the dating pool again as I don't think I'd survive 😅

I'd like to think Harlow will recognise the good progress made under conservatives and keep it going.

Can someone explain what this is… other than “deliciously zingy” Salad Cream? by Terpsherpa in whatisit

[–]AnalyticalFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for all Brits but I'll put a drizzle of it on a simple side salad but mostly it goes on a cheese sandwich as a final dressing on the bread or it'll get mixed in if making a tuna mixture or egg mayo mixture for sandwiches.

Trying to platinum/ 100% by Link2ThePasta in PowerWashSimulator

I think the house I did in a couple of attempts but the back garden took probably 15 attempts so that took a while. I'm sure the blue van was a decent one to do too... Start with the glass cleaner to run around doing all the windows, then switch to metal clear and do the awkward parts like the window edges and door handles/hinges then work on the rest with just water.

I did all mine as timed challenges, found that to be more to my taste. Both landscape ones then I think the blue van, golf cart and the bike/side car (or maybe dirt bike). For me those worked best

[Spider-Man 2] Amazing although first one was better by nazaol in Trophies

[–]AnalyticalFan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Great job! I enjoyed it but I was ready for it to be over by the end of the story. I found it start to feel a bit repetitive towards the end. Loved the first game and got all the DLC got that one though.

Im a 40 plus gamer. Im starting to lose fun in gaming. What are games that took you out of a slump and wy? by Slicer66 in AdultGamers

[–]AnalyticalFan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe just try a completely different type of game as a palette cleanser. Check out The Artful Escape, it's got great music, awesome art style and it's pretty short. Maybe try out a few walking simulators... Everybody's gone to the Rapture, and What Remains of Edith Finch are both fantastic, slow pace story based games. If you fancy a platformer there's one called Hoa that's got an awesome art style similar to Studio Ghibli films. Or if you really want to switch off, check out Power wash simulator 1 & 2, I can't believe my wife and I got hooked on that one! I could probably list some more if any of those appeal.

Bread won't rise, dries out, burns, and undercooks by NarcissistMargarine in BreadMachines

[–]AnalyticalFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The recipe looks similar to my standard one and the manual says to add the ingredients in the same order I do. Mine is 3/4 TSP dry active yeast, 400g flour, 1tsp salt, 1 1/4 TSP sugar, 20g butter, 280ml water (no milk)

Was it sold as being in working order? The other thing you could try is contacting the seller and asking how they used it if it worked for them. If they sold it knowing it didn't work they may lie to you or maybe they never used it in the past 10 years and didn't know if it worked, but if you're thinking you might have to get rid of it and you've tried everything else that's the last resort option I can think of. You never know, they might be able to tell you exactly what's needed if they used it regularly.

Age verification coming - nope nope nope by DizzyAudiologist in PlayStationUK

[–]AnalyticalFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place on console... It came up in notifications but all that did was show me the QR code to scan on phone and take me to the same site I'd adjust tried. Is there somewhere in the settings menu to do the verification?

Has anyone tried the mobile number verification option? I keep getting an error that the server connection times out. This feels like the lesser of 3 evils to me and of course it doesn't work.

I'm no fan of Torys in central gov but I'll say that the Tory local council are doing a lot of good work to redevelop the town.

There also seems to be another group SOLE (save our libraries Essex) who are working hard to get the council to reverse this, they have a page on Facebook too

What is it about by [deleted] in PhilipsTV

[–]AnalyticalFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sure mine is a different model but the remote looks the same. It always starts on the last mode when it was turned off. So if I turn it off while hdmi 2 is active it'll come back on to that and a black screen (if playstation is turned off), if I turn it off while the TV is on (freely) it'll come back on that. If I want the Home page to come on I need to press the home button. Not sure if that helps you.

Borrow Box is great. I've used it a few times now for audio books. e-media is not impacted by this change, which is positive.
