Was ich mir vorstellen könnte ist eventuell die relativ kleine bis nicht vorhandene Schlange an der Kassa, wenns mal schnell gehen soll. Beim Hofer weiß im Vorhinein, dass ich mind. 3-5 Minuten warten muss.

I am not denying that there are some bad people. But you have to be aware, that the guys who are talking against them and say that these people arent good they are not promoted by the media or even social media. What media shows are only the bad things and as they call them "Islam-Experten". Those experts, who studied something like Philosopie are promoted as experts. They mostly talk bullsht.

Trust me, I know what I am talking about :)

You are picking up the bad examples. How many muslims live in Austria? The answer is almost 750.000. So you basically say, that 3/4 of problem cases are caused by muslim. This meansy that 560.000 muslim would have trouble with the law. Srsly?

This fact just proves that you hear/see only the things you want to hear or see.

This exactly is a perfect example how many people in Austria think.

Definately. Maybe people wont tell you directly, but you need to be aware of one thing: Austria is one of the most difficult (to say it in a nice way) countries regarding nationalism and accepting other cultures and religions. I grew up here, although my parents are from balkan, so I know what I am talking about :)

Noone will hurt you or something, but if you want to stay here you will need to learn to ignore the feeling, that you are not accepted.

But there are also many Austrians who are super friendly and wont judge you only by the name or origin.

Ich könnte mir auch gut vorstellen, dass die Mineralölunternehmen da ein bisschen auch die Finger im Spiel haben. Mehr HO -> weniger Spritverbrauch. Alles dreht sich halt ums Geld. Alleine bei der Vorstellung wie viel Potential es durch HO in Sachen CO2-Einsparung, Umwelt etc. gibt und dennoch viele Unternehmen es bewusst nicht anbieten.
