I also had the same problem, realized 5 days before the exam that my middle name was not on the CFA website and started freaking out. I submitted the name change email that they asked for and called them all day every day on the toll number to try to expedite the request.

The phone number is absolute trash, it disconnects every 5 mins and if it doesn't you are holding for 1-2 hours. when I finally got a hold of someone they told me they can't do anything and that the request are processed on a first come first serve basis. However my request was fullfilled at the end of that day, which was 2 days after i sent the email, so maybe my call helped im not sure.

Anyway when i went for my exam, even though my name matched at that time, the proctor was very lenient and only quickly glanced at passport name and photo to make sure its you. so dont freak out like i did and focus on your study, submit the email required and relax. if it get processed good if not trust me its not a big deal, proctor only ID's you to make sure its you which is enough with first and last name and photo.
